This is a very nice looking comb and the wood is very smooth. However it is very brittle and can break in your pocket.

I am always losing a comb, and never have. it when I need one. Cheap ones break. This one is big enough to never lose -- it comes with a leather cover. It's always on my dresser, or if I carry it, I always know where it is. Some may not want such a big comb, but I find it's great for me.

I bought for my beard that’s pretty thick and it just seems like this comb can’t grab it. A couple of the fine tooth teeth were bent as well and nearly broken. As someone new to the beard game, I am still learning how to care for it. I bought my comb because I read that a wooden comb should be used when combing your face sweater, I was still using a plastic. Boy, what a difference the wood comb made! I combed my mane out and I was shocked at how the comb glided through the hair. It was fantastic! My beard instantly felt like I had just conditioned it and was super soft. No more knots in my beard. The comb itself is hand crafted and of superb quality. The leather sheath is a nice touch to my soup strainers comb. I was so happy with the first one, I bought a second to keep in my office.
