seems good
I haven't dont comprehensive testing to gauge how much this sanitizes but it seems to be doing something and I feel better using it so I'm calling it a day. The case is very easy to use for travel or compact storage with the way it collapses. I haven't had any issues with attaching the zipper pull to get it closed properly for sanitizing. Charge lasts well. I charged it once when I bought it this summer and it's been going strong on the same charge since then without a problem.

Does not fit Samsung Ultra
I was not able to use this product so this rating and review is in reference to my experience.I bought this as a gift for someone that has a Samsung Ultra. I know this phone is larger than iPhones, but assumed it would still fit. If you are looking to purchase this for a larger phone, I would recommend finding a different product. Rating a 1 because the description didn’t include dimensions or indicate which phones/brands fit or did not fit.

Compact sterilizer gives you peace of mind.
This uv-c light sanitizer is big enough to hold my Samsung S9 plus phone in its case. It is also compact enough to be portable. I just hope that it actually kills all of the germs and viruses that it claims to kill. (That is the problem when dealing invisible to the naked eye stuff. How do you know if they are gone if you cannot see them in the first place?) If nothing else, it makes me feel better when I use it.

I’m no genius, but...
I’ve seen several complaints of “red light flashing”. I first experienced that, then surrendered my man card, and read the instructions. After zipping closed, the zipper tab itself is magnetic and meant to stick to a spot the shape of the zipper tab on the case. That lets the device know that it is closed completely and the UV won’t leak out and cause you to wind up with freak of nature super powers or melt your face off. Food for thought- once you’ve cleaned one side of your phone, the dirty side touched the inside of the device. When you flip it over, you’re contaminating the clean side of the phone again from the dirty device. I clean one side, then run the device empty (to clean the inside of the device), then clean the other side. I took video of the cleaning process with my phone. Your phone most likely will expose for the light, so you’ll see a square LED looking light assuming it’s wide angle. I can confirm mine charges, holds a charge, blasts anything you can fit in there with some kind of light. Whether or not it’s killing bacteria or viruses is way above my pay grade.

Works very well but battery life sucks
I bought because my job is essential enough during the pandemic that I'm in and our of 3-5 houses a day doing real estate appraisals. So gloves, masks, and a way to sanitize my phone, laser measurer, pens, et al was important. So I paid the $79 for this in a pinch. It blasts the inside for 30 seconds and then shuts itself off as planned. BUT, you can only get about 7-8 blasts before you have to recharge it. Recharging takes about an hour.Upside is that it comes with a USb cable you can plug into almost any modern truck or car. It's also very nicely collapsible and space saving.I wondered why it only blasted the UVC light for 30 seconds, and I suspected that its because the battery life sucks so bad. So out of paranoia I end up blasting each side of my phone 2-3 times. Also, this only has 2 small UVC LED lights on the top whcih means that only the exposed side is getting irradiated/cleaned. So you have to do both sides. And at the suspected low wattage, 30 seconds is likely not enough. Is it worth $79? No way. But it worked in a pinch.I would think that this is a $25 unit. They got a good panic buy this time. Hey, good for them! But panic buying won't last long.

Pretty cool device.
Bigger than I imagined it, it fits an iPhone 11 with the case on (which obviously you should remove anyway). Also I’ve used it for keys, watches, stethoscope head an earpieces, thermometers and more medical gear. What I do know: UV light has been used in the medical field for this purpose and there’s many studies about its effectiveness. That being said...Am I a 100% sure it works?...well no.I did put my phone inside while recording and I could see a light barely visible that activates.Anyway, I rather take all precautions for me and everyone around me.

I love this phone sanitizer
Not only does it work well (I hope...without having a microscope, who knows?), but it's pretty, and the case collapses so it's compact to carry. Now, just don't let anyone else touch the outside of the case!! I also did a computerized car key fob, and my debit and credit cards. No problem. I bought the Homedics one because I have had other products by them and trusted the brand, also.
