What's the difference between this and the good ol' Pilot Varsity? (Or is this the same thing?)

The original Pilot Varsity was only offered with a "Medium" 1.0mm Nib. Now the original 1.0mm Nib pens have a Harlequin Pattern design on the barrel. THE NEW PILOT VARSITY PENS have a simple "swirl" or "wave" design on the barrel AND a "Fine" Nib (which, I am guessing, is 0.6mm) "Medium" nibs are offered in Black, Blue, Red, green, Purple, Turquoise, Pink inks. I have only seen Red, Blue, Black in the "Fine" Nib.

I work in a cold storage warehouse, about 30 to 35 degrees ambient. Will the ink still flow at that temp? It's in my pocket if not in active use.

Research complete: I stuck three of these in my outermost parka pocket and spent 3-4 hours mostly outside (all either outside or in my truck) in 25-27F. Pens worked perfectly the whole time. Good luck!

Is the ink waterproof ?

No, it isn't. AWESOME pens, though.
