Loud and clear.
This speaker system is just perfect. It will fill a very large area with sharp, clear and loud sound. I absolutely love it.

Good, cheap PA speaker with mic
I purchased this speaker to have outdoor meetings for sporting event competitors (20-50 people).Right off the bat, I HAD to find a way to disable the "power on" that it shouts every time the unit is turned on. I tried what a few other reviewers suggested by holding down the Bluetooth button after turning on the unit, but that made no difference. However, if you hold that button long enough, various strings of letter and numbers will appear on the screen. I have no idea what any of them mean, but after messing with it for a bit, my unit no longer provides any voice notifications (and it has persisted through off/on cycles). It would be nice if Pyle would bother to explain any of this in the manual, but they unfortunately didn't. As an aside, if you hold the repeat button down (ellipse with arrows), it will display POFF or PON. I don't know what this means either, but thought I'd mention it.If you look at my second picture, you can see the tiny battery this thing comes with. I'm actually pretty impressed it can produce any sound with such a small battery. I was expecting some sort of SLA battery. Oddly enough, it DOES have a compartment in the base of the unit to accept a 12v 7-9ah battery, though they have provided no wiring to hook it up. If you look at pictures 3 and 4, I added a label (for any future users) and wiring to eventually install a 9ah battery. I simply spliced into the external 12v port wiring to run power to the battery compartment. I have not used the device enough to know what kind of battery life I can expect from the pre-installed battery, but I can assure you it would run for quite some time with a good SLA.I have not yet done it, but I will also soon be adding an SAE battery charge port to recharge the SLA battery. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B4W28TFH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I could have used the external 12v hook up, but using the cheap spring clasps seems like a bad idea for charging, especially given the polarity could be reversed. All that said, the wireless mic seems to work fine. I put in 2 AA batteries (not included) and you simply turn on the mic and it works. I spoke into it fairly close to the front of the speaker, and it appears to do a pretty good job of not producing feedback. Sadly, as others have noted, the EQ knobs have no effect on the included mic, which is a really silly oversight. Luckily, the mic output has a decent sound, so it's not a huge deal, but still something that should have worked.I will probably never use any of the USB, SD card, or Bluetooth functions, so I can't say how well they work. I have not tried the remote (although I did verify the included battery is functional. In case anyone cares, you can verify the function of ANY IR remote with your cell phone camera. Just open your camera app, and point the remote at your camera while pushing buttons. It will flash a purplish-red, as your cell camera is able to detect infrared).

Product is what you expect
Super light weight. OK loudness. Versatile. Really great product for the price. You can get more by spending more, but for the price, this speaker is AWESOME.

Great for outdoor party
Bought for anniversary party for 75 folks at a farm. Used it for music using playlist on phone during the event and for speakers at end. Pleanty of volume for large spread out group. Easy to use. Only fault is the MIC is weak. You have to talk directly into the end of it covering your mouth. I had a bluetoothe mic that plugged into the back and actual mic pinned to lapel or held reasonable distance from mouth. Not an expensive one but it worked fine within 30 ft. Very pleased by speaker which is what I really paid for so 5 stars

Worthless
The user manual is about as worthless as the unit. I'd hear "Bluetooth connected," yet it never played any media from three different sources. Save yourself the hassle of returning it by not buying it.

Better than expected.
This thing gets loud. Very light, easy to carry. I haven't challenged the battery life. The Bluetooth works ok, which is exactly the way bluetooth was designed to work: it is fickle, hard to turn on or off, and has a confusing interface. I am generally suspicious about Pyle products, but this one is great.

Not bad, but very light duty. Not super loud.
I bought this unit b/c Pyle had a good rep back in the day. I also chose this model b/c it was a decent price, had a built-in battery, bluetooth, and what I thought was decent wattage (1200w).The remote either doesn’t work or the battery is dead. I just got new batteries and haven’t tried them in the remote yet. I also haven’t used the mic, yet. So, no comments there. The good: it’s very light; but almost too light in that it kind of feels cheap. Easy controls. Very portable. Sound quality is decent/good (but see “The bad” below for volume). Push one button on the unit to pair with Bluetooth. Built-in battery is super helpful. The bad: not very loud. We had this in the back of our truck for our cheer team to dance to songs during stops during a parade, but they could hardly hear it. I cranked it up in my living when I unpacked it and it’s sounded great, but using when using it outside the sound diminished significantly. I got the 1200w (instead of those that are in the 600-800w range) thinking it’d be pretty loud, but that’sjust not the case. Not heavy duty at all. In my youth, I remember a 10” or 12” sub, box, and amp weighing substantially more than this unit. Literally, my 7 yo kid can pick this up.-I read a review that said to press/hold the first button while powering down to turn off the loud “power up” voice you’d hear when turning it on. TRUE! That works perfectly.-Affordable, easy to use, easy to transport.-Not great volume outdoors.Good enough that we’re keeping it, but would probably buy something different if I need another one.
