wouldn't have thought finding a 4" eyeball can trim would be hard to find but they are......these are good. will fit most manufacturers 4" housing and easily paintable. We wanted black ones and could not find them. these were very easy to paint and look good.

Don't normally buy used from Amazon but this came in perfect shape. It's worth it if you can get enough of a discount.

Beware! I ordered these lights and started having the PAR16 bulbs burn out over several months. They used to last a year or more (exact same Philips bulbs. I found the insulation on the lamp wires is melting from the bulb base and in the middle of the wires. The exposed wire looks to be aluminum which if so, is overheating. The bulbs used are 45 watt!

First the positive: As you would expect, the trim eyeball comes with a fully adjustable eyeball, you can rotate the whole trim and swivel the eyeball to point it virtually anywhere in a 360 degree arc. The bad news: My product arrived from Amazon rattling inside the shipping box. I ordered two, and they both had shaken loose of their factory cardboard packaging. The eyeball is held into the trim by three metal clips that are quite small. Both trims were missing two of the three clips. I found 2 of the clips in the bottom of the shipping box, meaning I had 4 of the required 6 clips. The eyeballs would not stay in their housing without all three clips. So, I tracked down the manufacturer and called their customer service. FIVE Star. They shipped me two replacement trim kits at no cost. When these arrived, intact, I could see how the eyeball clips were never intended to be removed nor the eyeball every be removed out of the trim housing. One should swivel the eyeball out of its horizontal (flat) position, then rotate the whole trim (not the eyeball) to point the light where you want it. If you do that, all is well. Once in place, they work great. I used a 500 lumen LED 5 watt light and it is super bright... I use a dimmer to manage the light intensity. Happy with the end result, but not the initial Amazon fulfillment. (I contacted the manufacturer vs returning them to Amazon because I was hoping to just get two more metal clips, but alas, they are not available separately from the whole trim kit, hence they shipped two replacement trim kits)

These are a better build than I've seen. They only tip about 30 degrees, so placemen from the wall needs careful planning. The LED Par 16 bulbs work well with them. Lutron CL dimmer used with those in my application. Nice flat white finish.

Very sleek and stylish! Can’t find in big box stores, and everything now seems to be going to that gimbal trim, which I hate. So, happy to find it here! A little pricey, but oh well.

Thus purchase was to add additional and identical preexisting lighting. The arrived as advertised

I ordered 4 of these. 3 are fine and look nice. I used a 40R16 incandescent bulb that fits (yea, I know, it's not LED, but for bulbs like this, there is still not a good dimmable, warm-white option in that size). But the 4th unit was bad. It was obviously previously used. The mechanism was bent, and the insulation on one of the wires was stripped bare in one spot. That would be a fire hazard if I installed it. When you get these, make sure you check them all to ensure they are new units without any problems. (Amazon - you sold me a defective used unit that you charged me a new-unit price?)
