You should probably complain to the seller either return it or ask them to send you a replacement part.

Q: How thick are the tungsten tips (also the bigger diameter)? Are they the same size as the veritas ones?

Your picture is the top scriber in my video and uses a standard pencil to scribe a line parallel to your workpiece edge. The middle tool uses a scriber approx 4.5 mm in diameter, the opposite end of this tool has a 12.4 mm tungsten wheel with a thickness of approx 2.3 mm. The bottom tool is the veritas marking gauge but the cutting wheel is thicker and of a smaller diameter. Hope this helps you out .

Q: Is this scriber accurate?

Define accurate? Would NASA use it to work on rockets? No. Would I use it to mark out a DIY project? Yes.
