Good quality
This product really help to reduce the sound, when adding it between two pieces of sheetrock please follow the instruction and it will be okay.

Quality stuff for an arm and a leg!
This is caulk, not to be confused with the actual green glue. This is pricey stuff but I liked it better than the cheaper TMS stuff that can be found online.

Product works as described.
product is one valuable piece in my attempt to soundproof my condo. I have used it between Quiet Rock and around outlets and at the tops and bottoms of the drywall—anywhere sound can pass through. Product works as described but you must allow time as it says in the product description. Can be messy if you are not careful with the glue gun.

Perfect for our Studio Project
Works as described. I have used this during the construction of multiple recording studios; and it has yet to disappoint. This is the sealant not to be confused with "Green Glue" which is used inbetween courses of drywall.

Tubes of greatness!
Used this on drafty windows, doors, and wall cracks! This thick, noise cancelling, tubes of greatness are worth every dollar.Yes, theses are big boys and you need a big girl caulking gun.Just not to hear your neighbors, to me is priceless!

Complete waste of resources.
Horrible, unusable product. Purchased two boxes of this sealant for a two layers of 5/8 Sheetrock job for my ceilings. If your gaps between sheets of drywall are more than 3/16” you are screed. Sealant is so liquid, that it is falling right back on you, on walls and in a floor in a minut or two. But if your gaps are like 3/8”,it is falling right back. Instantly. You need to grab your putty knife and start “sparkle” it right back into your seams. 3/16” gaps doesn’t looks good too after two day of drying.. Suffered for two complete workdays. Sheetrock gaps looks horrible. This useless sealant goes back to Amazon tomorrow. Complete waist of time, effort and money. Putting this materials in to a fridge for overnight doesn’t help at all. G-d only knows how I’m going to go over this stuff with paper tape and joint compaund.

Poor Value for the Money and Too Runny for Large Job. Might be great for very small seams between sheets.
The Green Glue sealant I received is pretty expensive and very runny. It has the smell, and consistency of thick latex paint - too runny for use in ceilings or cracks wider than about an eighth inch.In our project, caulking includes receptacles, ceiling fixture boxes, double-layer ceilings / walls and drywall to sole plate joints to name a few items. We ended up using just three tubes of this caulk from a case for our large job. For the majority of work, we were very happy using USG Sheetrock 28 oz tubes that cost much less and fill all sorts of cracks and openings better. The USG has more mass and just the right consistency, even after drying. In our job, we used windows that have thick laminated glass and two windows (double double). We want to get the most benefit we can out of those expensive windows, so sealing and isolation are very important. We still plan to use Green Glue noise dampening compound, which also seems to have more water content than intuition might suggest. We built some test and mock-up wall segments and material samples to share with the dozens of contractors that have been to this job over the last year. The Green Glue noise dampening stuff really shrinks down after about 3-4 weeks, however as claimed, it doesn't harden. The Green Glue caulk seemed to harden and shrink more than expected, although it did not harden fully as claimed.Using USG Acoustic Sealant we caulked and applied various putty and sealants to our exterior walls, we noticed that the outside world started fading away. The more we sealed and detailed, the more it went away. It took several days to apply all the caulk and prepare the first layer of professionally hung sheetrock for the second layer. We used R30 and R15 rock wool in our exterior walls for a total of R45 minimum. By the time we had the caulking, insulation and first layer of rock on, the outside world is very distant. We can't wait to see what happens when the final sealing and layer of drywall are in!If you have a large job, do try to get some kind of power caulking gun to keep a nice even flow going. We have 9 ft. ceilings in the job and it gets to be a real chore holding up the caulking gun, cleaning up the drips and getting enough pressure to force the material into seams and cracks. At minimum, get the better manual caulking gun. Consider a case of gloves (I like the nitrile ones) in a size large enough to be comfortable. This product might work exactly as the manufacturer says, however I feel that it is too difficult to use and too expensive. I had to punch the snake oil button that was blinking way too loud in my head. In the lab tests, it is not always clear how long the product was cured, or if results might be different after a year of curing. There are so many variables. In all, we ended up using many kinds of sealants, adhesives, isolation materials and tapes. Every product has its place. Doing a good sized area for sound control / quieter living is really time consuming, messy and expensive. Even with a large budget, there will be a need to weigh cost vs. benefit.I'm not saying that the product does not work or that it will not work for you. It just doesn't work for our project.5 stars for the idea of acoustic sealant and the cool company-1 stars for it being just too runny to be useful all-around-2 stars for low value, and the annoying feeling of being snookeredI'm sorry GG people. Let's hope the GreenGlue dampening product works as well as anticipated.
