Easy to install, durable, very smooth rolling casters.

Installed them yesterday on a HF cast iron stand for my bench grinder. For years I had these junky little plastic casters that would skid and scratch around on the floor more than they would roll, creating a tipping hazard. This would drive me nuts, but I never got around to changing them until yesterday.What a difference these new casters make! They swivel and roll effortlessly my garage floor. The locking mechanism is effective and easy to move with my foot. The attachment nut height issue that some have commented about has been remedied with a taller nut. So now, it is easier to get a conventional wrench to hold the stem while tightening the included locking nut.All around great casters. I recommend and will buy more for other garage projects.

The casters looked good when opened and appeared to be of good quality. The problem began when I mounted them to a 30-inch pedestal fan--about 60 pounds. While the casters rolled freely before mounting, after they were mounted on the fan, they skidded rather than rolled on my concrete floor (the brakes were NOT on). I suspect that several of the bearings may have "flat spot" which prevents them from rolling smoothly. Inside the box that they came in was the typical note asking for a positive review and providing an email address to contact the seller if there were any problems. Well I wrote to explain what was going on, before writing any review as I believe it's only fair to contact the seller and give them a chance to make good on the order. I waited. No response from the seller. So, I wrote again...still no response. I guess that's the end of my story. For comparison purposes I have several other fans of the same model. For them, I used a cheaper, locally-sourced caster set and have had absolutely no problems whatsoever. These looked to be a much nicer caster...but if they don't roll smoothly they are useless to me.UPDATE: July, 2019After my second email requesting assistance and posting this review, I was contacted by the seller. They apologized for the lack of communication and offered to send me a replacement set of casters. I received them and found them much improved with no sign of the issues that plagued my first set. I appreciate the seller's action and will raise my rating to four stars.

It was a surprise to learn how easy it is to move the grill around with these wheels. Also, the wheel breaks are great.

I purchased three sets of these wheels to replace the flimsy wheels that came on some new commercial service carts. The quality of these wheels is right up there with the best US made wheels. Tight precise construction, excellent roller bearings, good strong axles, sturdy brake mechanism and hard rubber tires. Very good well made wheels that look like US made Colsons, I believe they will last a long time. Our carts are so easy to roll and steer now with these wheels and I am confident they can handle the weight of heavy loads with no problems.

These wheels are amazing. I bought them to replace some old, cheap, caster wheels on a stand-type fluffy dryer at my work as a dog groomer. The old wheels would constantly get clogged up with hair, and they were the pin type casters so I was unable to disassemble them for cleaning. These can be taken apart and put back together easily. My ONLY complaint is that they're SO smooth, when I turn the dryer on it pushes itself around from the force of the air! Hopefully over time they become less efficient so my dryer stays pointing where I put it!

Installed these on my router table. They roll just fine.I've noticed people complain they couldn't get a wrench on the nut to hold the shank when tightening the nut.Hint position the caster so you can see the part that rotates squeeze on that with a channel lock so it doesn't rotate and tighten the nut. works great, and don't have to hunt or make a skinny wrench.

Worked great for me on my main shop saw. Castors are built heavy and solid. Table saw weights 255lbs. according to manual. No doubt. Unlike the rest of the 30yr old shop saw the factory castors may've been a bit under engineered (in an overly complex way). Either way several decades in my garage shop finished off any intended usefulness. Not often but sometimes the saw has to be moved a bit. While these castors may be a bit too tall for the typical application (suggest 1.5"-2" for most) I wanted an extra inch or two for easier rolling over wood chips and such. They're just right for this. Seen some issues posted regarding narrow grab area of the nut. While it could've been wider, and though they do make narrow wrenches, an old wrench and a grinding wheel will do the trick. Do-it-yourselfers have to be flexible. Only reason for the 4 stars is my set was obviously a returned set with one of the [narrow] nuts on the castor shaft was a tad rounded and needed to be filed a little. Even with all that it was about 30min job. Holds steady locked and rolls like a shopping cart when unlocked. It's all good.
