My wife has an old iPhone 4S that she uses to listen to music. The battery was basically shot and it would not stay on. I ordered this kit, watched a YouTube video and I installed the new battery in less than ten minutes. It was easy and they sent us all the tools needed for the installation. Just be careful with the very small screws inside the phone that you have to remove and later install with the new battery.

I followed the initial charging/discharge procedure several times more than required. Although batter life is still very good, it is not as good as the original battery as I remember. Granted, this is a very old phone, and it is likely this battery was not manufactured very recently. But all in all, a good value for the price and allows me to not need to recharge phone more than once a day as was necessary with dying old battery.

We kept a 4S around for our oldest daughter to get her used to having the responsibility of a phone. This is the second time I have used this product to keep the that 4S running. It works as described and was easy to install with the provided directions and a quick search on YouTube for a tutorial. The first replacement I installed took about half an hour. The second only took about 10 minutes. I would recommend this product for anyone trying to keep a IPhone 4S alive.

This is a comprehensive kit. Follow the directions. Just take it slow and easy, be gentle but firm when removing the screws and battery. If I can do it so can you. I saved $80 by doing it myself.

***UPDATE 5-19-21*** The seller never made good and shipped me a replacement. They are not honest. I will never use this seller again. The battery drains to 2% overnight. I have only had it 3 nights. Very disappointed. ***Update 6-26-21 I went camping and had to use my iphone 4S as my full time music player. I kept it plugged in to a external battery charging block while we camped off grid, so i was able to at least listen to my music. This battery is still in the phone. It intermittently turns on and off, which sucked, but I was at least able to play some Metallica on my Bluetooth speaker box while out in the woods. I am researching a new battery since I have over 150 gigs of my favorite music on this old Iphone 4S.

The tools and battery 'appeared' to be adequate to do the job, so I began the removal and replacement of my dead IPhone battery. When I clipped in the new battery's connector the two mounting holes did not line up with the phone screw holes by a long shot, so I could not install the two mounting screws. In the photo, the connector is definitely clipped into place correctly, there's an audible 'click' and it's a pretty positive connection, no problem there, but you can see the bracket holes are not aligned. (The grounding clip is left off for clarity). I thought about enlarging the holes and making it work but if the manufacturer does not have the quality control to accomplish the simple task of lining up install holes, then I need to find a better manufacturer. Of course this is probably one out of hundreds that are poor quality, but I can't take a chance on getting burned again by the same folks. Fool me once....blah blah, blah haha. Returning today.
