Q: I'm confused...does the nozzle detach or not? Some of you say it is welded, others say that it will screw off. What's the truth, Manufacturer???

Hi Corn Floats, This may be too late to be helpful, but...After reading all the questions and wildly different answers, I decided there was one way to learn the truth about whether these watering cans were designed to have the rosette removed/replaced or not! I was fortunate to speak with a customer service representative at Behrens yesterday, 11/2/16, who explained to me...the galvanized watering cans have been recently redesigned so the rosette is no longer removeable. The "replacement" rosette/head, although universal for all sizes of Behrens galvanized watering cans, is now discontinued and is obsolete for the redesigned watering cans. As with any transition between older & newer product designs, older versions of the watering can may still be available to purchase through some retailers/sellers, as well as the replacement rosette.

Q: has any one got one that look's and works as it should?

Mine works fine. I love it. What is the problem with yours? I have had mine since last spring.

Q: What country is it made in?

Well America is a general term that can refer to countries in Central America as well, so they aren't incorrect by saying "made in America" if it's made in Mexico.

Q: What Gauge is the metal

1mm thick. Idk the gauge, but 1mm = ~39mil thickness. It’s thicker than a tin food can. Parts are all soldered on, so we’ll see how long it lasts. I want something my grandkids will use in 50 years.
