Does this router work on cable connection?

No, this will not work on an ISP that is based on cable (RJ45 connection). You would be able to connect it to an ISP like ACT Fibernet, but then only one device would be able to connect.

Difference between td-w8961n and td-w8961nd? i ordered td-w8961nd but got td-w8961n. is it worth going with this one?

d stands detachable antenna. So td-w8961nd has detachable antenna where as td-w8961n has fixed antenna. This is the only difference and other specs are same.

tp link router doesnt working well as iam using one of the tp link router always problem
