Any good for removing rust

I’ve only used mine for working on stone and slate however with the right burr I can’t see why not. It has enough power behind it to get the job done and with foot operation it’s easy to control the speed

is this quick release? is it genuine?

This is not a quick release chuck, or I should say it wasn't when I bought mine. The chuck in the photo is a 6mm chuck and so far works well. The biggest problem in my opinion is the reversing switch, it's too easy to switch reverse when you intend to stop. Nick

Are these genuine foredom made in the usa or are they chinese fakes ?

I bought this for my Jewellery making wife along with some Foredom attachments purchased separately at great cost from Cooksongold. It works well and has all the Foredom markings and instructions so if they are fake, there appears to be no way of telling at all so I would go with genuine!

What is the diamter of the hand piece?

it all depends on the model there are so many differnt sizes
