I couldn’t be happier with this 2K backup camera system from Jansite! The image quality is incredible — the high-resolution monitor delivers crisp, clear visuals both day and night. The night vision kicks in automatically and gives a surprisingly vivid image even in total darkness.The 150° wide-angle lens is a major plus — I can now see everything behind me, including kids, bikes, or curbs that I used to miss. Installation was straightforward with two power options, and I love the ability to mount the screen either on the dashboard or windshield. The adjustable reverse lines and mirroring function also help a ton when parking in tight spots.Another huge win is the waterproof and weatherproof design. I’ve used it in heavy rain and even during a dust storm, and the image never glitched or fogged up.This is a solid, reliable backup camera system perfect for any vehicle — trucks, SUVs, sedans, even RVs. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to boost their safety and visibility!

Ordered 2 if these. Yes, they work if you use the manual push button/cigarette lighter option. If wired into the backup lights, they will not work if you follow the wiring diagram! The power plug must be on the end of the cable closest to the monitor, despite what the diagram shows. I found out the hard way. The wire for the backup lights is way too short, no matter how you do it. Unless you are willing to do some wiring on you own, plan on the cigarette lighter option only. Works good that way, and you will have about 6 feet of extra cord. Chinese junk!

After testing numerous backup cameras, I’ve found that the details make all the difference. Many models share similar basic cameras but vary in hardware mounting configurations.This camera stands out and is a strong contender to become my new standard. In daylight, it earns an “A” for clarity. At night, it’s a solid “B” compared to models with IR or LED enhancements for sharper low-light images. The camera uses 4-pin connectors on both ends. It can be powered by a 12V adapter for constant operation or by your reverse light’s positive and ground for activation only in reverse. The monitor provides customizable reverse guideline styles. This is a dedicated setup, with the monitor only displaying the rear camera feed. The screen is compact enough to avoid being intrusive, yet large enough for good visibility. The suction mount for the monitor is remarkably strong.The license plate camera mount is a plus, allowing installation without drilling new holes in your vehicle. However, I encountered a minor issue: the camera’s default orientation displayed an upside-down image. While the monitor supports left-to-right mirroring, it lacks an up-down flip option. To correct this, I removed the camera’s screws and rotated it 180 degrees, but this caused the camera to sit higher, with the wire slightly obstructing the setup. Other models offer additional mounting holes to avoid this, making adjustments smoother. If you have a very tight setup from your license plate to a trim piece above, as I do, this could be a problem. It likely is not for most makes of vehicles.

After being burnt before I wanted to use it a few weeks before reviewing itI am happy to say this camera exceeding all my expectations and more!The night vision especially! So much better than my previous 8unit! Crisp and clear!Adaptability! Your choice of hooking up to backup lights so it's only active when backing up, or using a 23 vilt adaptor for constant use!. Such a welcome feature!Installation was a breeze! As with most such electronics the biggest but was hiding the cords.Overall I am very happy with it and highly recommend!

I installed this in a camper van, and I am glad I did. I choose this type because I preferred to have a dedicated camera for a constant rearview display. It was easy to install, simply plug and play. The most time it took was neatly hiding the cable. The small size is perfect to tuck off to the left corner of my windshield and not be bothersome for my view. I had one that was 720p picture quality and upgrading to this 2K one I instantly was impressed with the increased clarity and brightness. For the low price it is, this is a great add-on for a second set of "eyes" in your rearview.
