When did Gerber come out with a Zombie green line which they call the Freescape? Why did they pick Zombie Green? Did someone like this color more?

The neon green is easy to spot in a forest floor of brown leaves. A wooden handle hatchet or one or neutral color is not so easy to spot when laid down. It has nothing to do with “zombies”.

Would this be good for throwing?

No, far too heavy, and not an efficient design for throwing. Excellent for hacking, splitting, and banging stakes. I can cut through 4 inch thick black spruce with 1 or 2 swings.
