what kind of refill cartridge do i need for this pen?

Your pen accepts International Standard Size cartridges (both short and long versions). We recommend purchasing cartridges from high quality brands. We have tested the following and all fit perfectly: • MontBlanc • Schneider • Waterman • Pelikan • Kaweco • Monteverde • Caran d’Ache • Stabilo • Helix Oxford • Diamine • Beaufort The following cartridges claim to be “International Standard Size” but either are not (they DO NOT fit) or they work poorly. Please do not buy these cartridges for your Scriveiner pen: • Dryden • Monaggio • Jinhao Parker Quink cartridges do not fit your Scriveiner pen. (They are a different size format.)

How do I refill this pen?

We provide a (very!) comprehensive instruction pdf when you buy the pen. Get in touch directly if you haven't received this. In a nutshell, you have two options. You can use the installed converter: Remove the pen barrel, rotate the top section of the converter to depress the plunger. Hold the pen, nib down. Lower the pen into a bottle of ink so that the entire nib is submerged. Rotate the top section of the converter to raise the plunger and fill with ink. Remove from ink. Apply tissue paper to nib to clean excess ink. Reattach pen barrel. Or you can unscrew the converter and use the catridges that are in the envelope underneath the pen tray. These are International Standard Size cartridges and it is very easy to buy replacements. Your pen comes with 1 blue and 1 black cartridge.

Pen cartridges do not fit . They are loose. Is there an adapter supplied? The supplied cartridges do not fit the pen

The cartridges that are supplied with the pen fit perfectly. You may need to press in more firmly until you feel the 'click' as the cartridge engages. There is also a converter with the pen (that is installed when we send them into Amazon), allowing you to use bottled ink. If you're stilll having a problem, get in touch with us via our website (search for 'Scriveiner') and we can troubleshoot this for you.

Hi there! Yes, it is reusable. Converters allow you to use the pen with bottled inks, having the option of a wide variety of ink colors, types and brands. It also promotes sustainability and is more environment-friendly.
