The American Plant Exchange Lantana 'Dallas Red' is a heat-tolerant, easy-care flowering shrub featuring vibrant red and orange blooms that darken with age. Growing up to 18 inches tall, it thrives in full sun and USDA zones 9-11, making it ideal for gardens, patios, and indoor containers. Beyond its striking appearance, it attracts butterflies and purifies indoor air, offering both aesthetic and health benefits. Note: toxic if ingested.

Why do suppliers feel it's ok to ship half dead plants??? (American Plant Exchange)

Beware! I got a box of broken sticks and dirt! jk……sorta
I received a near dead, almost leafless, broken at the base, sad little twig… sitting in a half full pot of dry soil. The rest of the soil was “decorating” the inside of the unscathed packing box. It looked like it might have been a pretty decent plant if someone had taken the time to pack it more carefully. ( I tried to tape the broken main stem back together in the picture.) Thankfully Amazon gave me a refund. ( That’s why I gave 2 stars.) I’ve ordered quite a few plants from Amazon this year and they were all wonderful. This is the first crappy one I’ve received.I really want this plant, so I’m going to take a chance and order another one. If the new plant is good and healthy or a dead stick in a box of dirt, I’ll come back and add to my review.June 29,2021- Oh Joy! I received another dead stick in a box of dirt! :( This is so sad. On closer inspection I noticed that some of the leaves had black sun scorched edges, so the plant was compromised before it was packaged. And…I put the dry loose soil back in the pot in came in and was surprised that it didn’t even cover the top of the root ball. This plant didn’t have a chance of surviving a cross country shipping. I hope I can get a refund.I do not recommend ordering this plant unless you live within a 3 state radius of the grower.I’m changing my star rating to one….

Highly recommend!
Beautiful plants and were shipped amazingly well! Plants did not get damaged at all! Was just like I bought them in person!

For very quickly, even if watered daily or every other day
The media could not be loaded. I have had these plants for 2 weeks now. One is completely dead and one is still alive and I am trying my best to save it. I spent over 40 3 to $45 on Amazon for these plants to be shipped when I received them they were green they were blooming some and now as you see the one is dead and it's only two weeks old. I do not have the money to replace them. We have a lot of butterflies and hummingbirds in our area and that was a whole purpose of buying me is two plants. I watered them everyday and when the one died I thought I would water the other one every other day but it is also dying as you can see they get sunlight of a morning shade more of an evening. I am very disappointed and will not, probably will not, buy anything else from this company.

Disappointed
One of the Lantana Plant arrived in poor condition. I tried to revive the plant without success. The second one seems to be doing well. I was very disappointed.

Not a hardy plant. Needs daily watering. Does not like Virginia heat.
August 1: 5 stars. so far so good. arrived healthy and well-packaged. Now have to plant it and see what happens!Sept 3: 3 stars. Plant is not doing well at all. It needs daily watering. One day without water and all the leaves shrivel and dry up and fall right off. Does not like the heat it seems. It's thinned to a scraggly plant, and has not flowered at all. The couple blooms that it arrived with shriveled and fell off. It's not a hardy plant and it's high maintenance. And I bought it hoping to provide for the butterflies but needless to say no butterflies have come since the plant is permanently half dead and only revives a little after I water it.Sep 16: 1 star. Plant is now completely dead. Don't know what happened. Although I'm a beginner gardener, I've included pic of my entire little garden to demonstrate that it can't be me since all my other plants in ground and in pots are thriving while the lantana is dead. I've noticed the lantanas in neighborhood shopping plazas are now in beautiful bloom. Wish this had survived. Maybe it requires expert care and someone who tends to plants daily.
