This is one fun device with practical application.It would be better with a bendable spring/wire inside the plastic line but it works well all the same. This is why I didn't go with a long unit, I got the 2 meter one. Any longer and it would not be controllable. The only way you may need something longer is if you have to inspect deep into pipes, even in that case it may be too flexible to feed.I placed a small white dot on the camera where the top is since it is a bit difficult to judge what is up and what is down on the image.It may not work on a really old phone or tablet. It works on my windows computer as well as a newer style android phone.In the pics I posted you can see the inside of an engine and also that it is a bit out of focus when looking far.

Pretty much a waste of money. Cable connection works intermittently so you have to try and tweak it with one hand while guiding the camera with the other. Not worth the frustration.--------------EDIT 9-28-17So, after a couple months, the unit I had quit working all together. I decided to contact the company to see if they had any warranty. Turns out, after I posted the first negative review, they had emailed me 4 different times trying to offer me a new unit or a full refund. Guess I should check that email more often! After exchanging a few emails, they were under the impression that I had a bad unit from the start and wanted to make it right. I'm impressed with that kind of attitude of willing to seek me out to make it right, from a company over an inexpensive device.Received new scope and it worked great right from the start this time! Will gladly recommend doing business with BlueFire.

Downloaded an app from Google Play and was up and running less than three minutes from the time I took it out of the package. I used some zip ties to firmly lash the camera to my pipe snake. Also, I've noticed claims that the camera isn't waterproof. I noticed when I received mine that the lens bezel was not even finger tight. I tightened it up before it hit the water and was successfully submerged in water an all sorts of other nastiness without failure occurring. When I launched the app, I saw it had good video, and sent it into my septic pipes to go to work.The picture is a little difficult to manage as the viewing angle and the distance from object are both a little narrow BUT this is a thirty dollar camera. I'm not expecting it to give me 4000K picture quality. If you can get the light, the distance, and the angle working in your favor, it actually will give you a pretty good picture. As I said, I sent mine down a cleanout to inspect the inside of my sewer pipes. I saw details I can never unsee...and I saw them clearly. I could see the differences in texture and color and could make out enough detail to learn that "flushable wipes" are exactly as flushable as golf balls.Bottom line:I am very happy with this purchase. It worked exactly as advertised and honestly the picture was a bit clearer than I had expected. It was worth every penny I paid for it.Tips:1. As others have suggested, use CameraFi. It is a free app in Google Play and it allowed me to both see AND record what I was looking at for later review.2. There are some scenarios when it helps to have a second person. In my case, I'm snaking sewer lines...it's gross to use such dirty hands to hold and operate the phone I used with the camera. I ended up realizing the problem and placed my phone on a ledge and operated it with my nose...a second person would have made it much easier.3. Avoid pulling on the camera head to adjust it's orientation when zip tied to a pipe snake. The one area that certainly could be weak is where the camera head attaches to the cord. It felt sturdy enough...but could definitely be identified as the weakest point of the camera unit. Don't bend the neck or pull on the head.4. My package came with the cord wired for microUSB. It also came with a traditional USB 2.0 adapter so one might use it with a PC. It was a handy throw-in and I'm thankful for the thoughtfulness of the company giving that choice to the consumer.5. If you are worried about water infiltration of the camera head, a very, very small dab of silicone sealant on the bezel threads should ensure a good seal without compromising the integrity of the camera.

Stands behind their Product! While this camera could use higher output LED Lighting, I admire a company (BlueFire) that immediately responded to my review, and addressed the issue! The camera comes with a very flexible cable, so in most applications you will need to tape it to a stiffer fish tape, push rod, coat hanger, or whatever to get it where you want it to go, but for the very low cost, as long as you have an Android phone, this low cost camera may save you hundreds of dollars not purchasing, or renting a far more expensive one!

Very poor picture quality, low resolution and grainy.

Didn't work with my phone like it said it would. Nothing at all. Plugged it into my girlfriends phone and her phone froze.

I looked at the top of the pistons in my cars, looked inside my ear, examined the inside of my nostrils and used it to peek inside the garbage disposal in the kitchen sink.

For the price you cant beat it ;)
