BEFREE SOUND BFS-1003G Portatble Bluetooth Outdoor Weather Resistant Rock Speakers - Pack of 2

The shell is like a ceramic. You have to be gentle moving these around. I don’t leave mine outside except when using. Sound is good. Instructions aren’t so clear. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone, hold down both power buttons. First says power on, keep holding then says device connected. Means to each other. Then turn on Bluetooth on your phone and hit the bfs icon in Bluetooth settings and it connects and starts playing. One has to be passive red and other active green to work. You make them red or green by using reset button. Both make sound.

Do not waste your money on these. We're idiots and it's passed the window to return them at this point, but honestly they are so frustrating to get paired together, and once they are paired together they unpair after a few seconds. If you actually manage to get them paired together after 30+ minutes of trying, then they won't pair with your Bluetooth. We tried to pair the Bluetooth on both mine, and my partner's phone and neither would work. I think it connected once and they disconnected after a few seconds. NOT WORTH IT. MOVE ALONG.

Horrible product. Very difficult to get then2 speakers paired. Then one of the speakers never worked despite being paired. Very frustrating. Flop of a Christmas present

Wouldn't connect to the other speaker nor would the bluetooth connect.

Wanted for the outdoor, enjoy them well and as far for weather don’t know, has not rained.

Update: 11/27/18 - I called BeFree on their support line and my call was immediately answered after navigating the one deep voice menu. Amazing! Add a star to my previous one star review. The person on the other end spoke unaccented English, N. American standard, and was immediately able to run me through a quick check of what may or may not be happening for me. She then said to keep the old ones and she would send a new one as soon as possible. Awesome! So, add another star for customer service and such. I will update when I get the replacement to check out.I had high hopes for these speakers to be my patio sound system. We do not spend very many hours on our patio, so I viewed the battery life if these units to be suitable. The semi-camouflaged rock look is like white granite. Good enough to keep them from being too obtrusive. You can kill the light show by tapping the power button once the speaker is turned on until you either get the light you wanted (there are 9 choices). No light is #9, which is unfortunate because at is likely to be the popular one.I found the setup to be excruciatingly poor. I could either pair the speakers with each other or i could pair the master with the source (iPhone). I could not do both. Every time I paired the iPhone with the master, the second speaker disconnected. Every time i tried to connect the two speakers when the iPhone was already connected, the two speakers un-paired. The sound I did get out of the one speaker was OK but not great.The light show works, and you can change the color and whether it clashes or not.I could go in, but the bottom line is that these are horrible and inconvenient. They are going to be given away. Not usable unless you just need one.Run away

I always thought I wanted these speakers for my patio. We do have some Bose outdoor speakers connected to the house under the patio and they have worked fine. Now, after you go through WWIII with your spouse (because he will invariably press the reset the button and turn his rock off) and finally figure out how to get the speakers to pair (take your finger off the button when it says it is pairing). Then you can turn on iPhone or whatever smart device you have and turn your Bluetooth on your phone on. Then select a song and play. Your phone volume up and down is what makes the speakers go up and down. One more thing - everytime you want to use the speakers, you will have to haul them in to where you have a laptop or computer and charge them for 4-5 hours. Then take them back outside where you want to let them make sound for you. Yes, you will have to go through the speaker pairing again until you hear the speaker says "your device is connected". Then turn the Bluetooth on your smart device back on and connect via your phone again.

At first, I was excited when I received these speakers. They look and feel nice. The exterior is solid and semi-blends into one's backyard landscape. I charged them up and attempted to pair them. There were some issues but eventually, I got them connected. Then I played some audio on them. I had mixed results with just one speaker playing, no audio whatsoever, and having intermittent speak power-offs. Then over time even getting the pairing to work properly was seemingly diminishing over time. I have even tried different phones to see if that was the source of the audio issues but this ended in the same results. If wireless speakers cannot even reliably pair as well as play audio then there are no points for still looking nice. I recommend you avoid these speakers entirely.
