Quality Control Issues
If you get a perfect copy of this figure, then it deserves a 5/5. If I would have received one without any flaws, that's the rating I would have happily given.Unfortunately, the reason behind my rating is due to multiple replacements being sent having the same QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES.When more than one figure has paint issues, then there is a major quality control problem going on.I understand they mass produce these and rush them out or whatnot, but at this price point, it is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE to receive SLOPPY, horrible painting job on so many copies of this figure, especially on the main area that you would be looking at -- the helmet! I can probably let go a few small spots on the body, but when there's huge black dots on the red visor, it's just ridiculous and frustrating. (I uploaded a picture in the gallery)I'm definitely not alone, as other reviews mention quality control problems too. It's all over the Internet and even on the reviews at Amazon Japan, customers mention quality control issues so it's not just the shipments here in the US. Actually, even at for the Batman Play Arts Kai, there are quality control complaints. Square Enix doesn't seem to take quality control seriously as there's so many complaints for other characters. I mean, if I could, I would just purchase this figure in an actual store and choose the best one; although Amazon has the best customer service and makes returning easy, Amazon shouldn't have to suffer because it's really the manufacture's problem. When this figure costs close to $100, there should be no exception to a bad paint job or inconsistent sculpture size pieces to others. (I compared two of them and I also noticed one had the helmet much higher above its neck than the other no matter how hard I tried to push it in)On a positive note, the figure is impressive and looks awesome. I'm a major fan of the original 1987 Robocop -- I never thought I would buy the new 2014 designed Robocop figure. When I first saw the behind the scenes photos of the new Robocop suit, I was one of those people who absolutely hated it. Well, I saw the movie, enjoyed it, and the suit really grew on me.Even if you're not a fan of the new 2014 Robocop (because you're such a die-hard fan of 1987 original Robocop....) or have anything to do with Robocop, as a figure itself, it is really awesome to look at. It makes my 7" NECA figures look cheap.I first ordered the Robocop 1.0 (Silver version) and I was really impressed with the silver painting - it looks really metallic and shiny (like the other review mentions). I thought I would be disappointed with the black one being dull and boring, since it wouldn't be shiny and have that metallic original Robocop look, but it's actually, surprisingly, nice. Although I'm a huge fan of the original 1987 Robocop, the Play Arts Kai of the 1987 looks horrible; it looks like anorexic Robocop with the proportions being completely wrong. However, I have to say the 1.0 and 3.0 looks good.Pros:- Overall, looks amazing and accurate to the movie. For the 3.0 black version, the best features are 1.) It's the main design from the movie/poster. 2.) The helmet has a shiny finish, yet the body suit is detailed and has a sleek smooth finish, as opposed to the 1.0's shiny silver paint. Looks very clean.- Highly poseable- Lots of accessories- Cool packagingCons:- Major Quality Control Issues... like 1/10, you'll receive one without paint issues.- They missed a detail on having a badge on the left side of his suit (opposite side of the OCP logo) - it has nothing there. It's really hard to just choose one; I love both the black and silver versions, and both figures are worth getting as they're awesome in their own ways.

Play Arts kai is always a great purchase.
Highly recommended, this item is another hit from Play Arts Kai - like the Dead Space and Lara Croft figures. Looking forward for the Deathstroke and Rorschach figures.

figure lead to misdirected aspirations
One star. That is all that I can honestly give this figure after what happened to me one terrible night.Having served as an honorable public servant within one of the most prestigious locally-recognized small business security companies, I can relate to the life and struggle Robocop had. In fact, it came as no small coincidence that my father's immigrant boy friend "Alex" Blowman. To further instill proof positive, his favorite television show is the ultra sexy and hilarious Candice Bergen"'Murphy" Brown' which ran from 1988 to 1998.While returning in my electric security cart from a donut run to Dunkin Donuts (one of the few places open in the middle of the night and usually, their donuts are the freshest unlike 7ELEVEN's) to my night watch post at the Target I failed to notice a pot hole in the darkened pavement. My cart being unable to handle the pot hole, pulled a hard right ejecting me from the vehicle.Normally, I would have been secured into the vehicle by a safety strap, but this time I elected to forego it due to the fresh boxed donuts on my lap I was transporting back to my post. Having such a large belly, there was only so much room available between me and the steering wheel and I am simply not flexible enough o maneuver the belt through while maintaining positive control of the box.As I laid there with a head injury, torn crotch and knees in my black polyester uniformed pants and shirt on the wet pavement from the recent run off of the sprinklers, I looked around to see only one donut left in the box as the others had been thrown about. That is when the head office of my security company called me on the radio and asked for an update on my hourly check ins since I was ten minutes late.Humiliated by my situation, more so upset by the reduction of consumable donuts, I fought back the tears and attempted to sound "normal" as I responded. They followed up and asked if there were any donuts left and that is when I realized that they saw the whole situation on one, if not several, security cameras.I could hear their laughing over the radio. I wanted to hide, but there was nowhere to go until my shift was completed and that would not be for another three hours. After collecting myself and cleaning up the mess, I headed back to the office. There, I scrounged through the toolbox to find something to salvage my torn pants. Black duct tape was all that I could find, but it would have to suffice. With each mended area over my black uniform and head with the black duct tape, I began to feel a transformation take place.I felt confident.I felt strong.I felt. . . reborn. While doing my rounds in the store in my mended uniform, I passed a women's dressing room mirror near the nightgown section and saw for the first time what I looked like and I was amazed. What I saw was not unlike what I have proudly displayed on the shelf of my room that I share with my brother Dave. One of my favorite figures.Robocop.From that night on, I would be committed to fight crime on a whole new level. After work, I would go home and immediately work on my uniform to more closely resemble that of Robocop. However, I was fired after that for abandoning my post for donuts and company theft by using duct tape from the store after I used up the office.
