Vivobarefoot shoes are awesome!
Super comfortable barefoot-style shoes. I have the Vivobarefoot Jing Jing (flats) in size 9, so that's what I ordered in these at first (EU size 40), but I didn't realize that these have an insole, which made them too big when I removed it. I live in a warm climate and don't need the insole for thermal protection. I prefer to get as close to barefoot feel as I can so I like them without the insole. When I ordered the next size smaller (US size 8.5/EU size 39) and removed the insole, they were perfect. So if you plan to remove the insole, consider sizing down! Also, the lace-up style works great for my narrow feet.I did spray them with some Scotchgard Suede and Nubuck Leather Protector spray to be sure these won't get water damaged as easily which I recommend.

My 9th pair of Vivobarefoot, love these hipster boots
I love Vivobarefoot, these are my 9th pair, they are warm, cute, super comfortable. As in all barefoot, no arch support, that's up to my own foot to do. These are 'hipster' accordingly to my young adult kids and are popular everywhere I wear them. Water resistant - i live on west coast, sprayed them with protector and they have held up well in lots of wet weather without staining or discolouring. Love them. Bought a 2nd pair in beige! Run a little large, I can wear thick socks, but would order 1 size down.

I love the barefoot shoes
I love the barefoot shoes, and they are not so easy to find since the trend has seemed to fade somewhat. I am a size 8(mostly) to 8 1/2 with high arch slightly wide width . Wide shoes have always been to wide, yet some average width shoes can be to tight. . I read the reviews on the vibrobarefoot website for these particular shoes as well as on amazon . I found the comment that seemed most consistent in these reviews was that these ran big. Now I dont know if they would be considered to run big if you are on the large end of the shoe size though. I purchased the 38 which is a 7 1/2 to 8 and find that they fit me well in length and width. Maybe for a 7 1/2 it would be to large though. The issue I have is that getting them on . The opening is kind of small because the tongue is stitched to the sides. . Has a thingy in the back that you can tug on which helps. Thinking of using shoe horn.. But once they are on they are fine. A previous reviewer said the letter is stiff and unlined. That is true and I noted that . , but I have been wearing them most of the day and as I wear them the leather is getting softer . I do recommend these, just be cautious in the size you decide purchase. As a note: the inner sole is meant to be removed for the "ultimate barefoot experience" and I found that by removing this innersole it increases the overall size of the shoe.UPDATE this shoes are much easier to put on now that they are breaking in

Although I love the style and the look of them
I have two other Vivobarefoot shoe styles in a size 40 and they fit well, so I ordered the same size in the Gobi II. Strangely, they are about an inch too long for my foot and at the same time too narrow. Although I love the style and the look of them, they appear clownish on my feet because they stick out from my toes. I will return them, and probably won't try for another size, expecting that a smaller size will definitely feel too narrow for my feet. I really wish Vivobarefoot made wide sizes! Five Stars
I love the Gobi II line from Vivobarefoot. I now own three pairs in different colors, and several other Vivobarefoot models, as well. They are all well made, comfortable, and attractive. I receive regular complements on how cute and comfortable-looking these shoes are.One important point for would-be buyers - when I say "fit as expected", I mean that they fit how I've learned the Gobi II last will fit, which is about a half size smaller than some of their other lasts. I normally wear a size 37 EU/7 US, and the Gobi II in a 38 EU fits great, if a tad loose. But for me, a tad loose is much better than the tight fit I experienced with the 37 EU Gobi II, especially in a barefoot shoe.

Returned due to sizing and stiffness of leather
Most people shouldn't have the problem I had. I'm a solid size 8 / size 39 and the widest part of my feet are 4" across. This brand in size 39 was too large so I tried a size 38. The length was fine but the shoe was not wide enough to accommodate my feet. The leather was very stiff and very unlined. I would have loved to keep the shoe had it fit, despite the cost, as I did love the sole. Oh well. Opted instead for the Merrell Jungle Glove. Despite the Merrell also being a tad narrow, the leather is much softer and a few wiggles later my feet can expand just fine.

I've had two other pairs of Vivobarefoots that were super comfortable the first time I put them on (the low profile oxfords, and a running shoe). In these ones, my foot feels constricted. They are very narrow a little forward of the middle, behind the toes. They seemed to stretch out a bit after wearing them a couple times. I hope they stretch out more. I really like the look of them, but comfort-wise they're a little disappointing.Update: I had to downgrade my rating of these. I never wear them because they're really uncomfortable.

them's the boots!
Nice desert boot. No lining, just leather! A wee bit stiff onthe first walk but they're leather, they broke in nicely. I wear a 10.5 ordered the 42's fit just right. Can't wait for more fall weather to wear them more! They're minimal shoes so no cushioning or arch support, just your feet doing what they're designed to do.
