So my boyfriend, sons and I all decided we'd do this cool month long experiment in which we turn all electronics off by 8pm. Once everything is turned out, we play cards, drink, and chat by oil lamps and candles. It's fun, eco-friendly, sets the circadian rhythm right and rah-rah. We liked it SO well that when we wrapped our experiment up almost 3 months ago, we all decided to keep going. As a result, we've become well acquainted with basic lighting sources and whatnot and this is such a nifty addition to the candle / oil lamp rotation. The fact that we can re-use our favorite whiskey bottles is a total bonus. I was initially worried about the wick being flimsy in the bottle, but some black rubber rings are included and seal the metal wick holder right into the bottle. The wicking is basically the same thing used for Tiki torches. They burn really bright and last a long time. We are using them inside, so we have smokeless, odorless lamp oil, but these would be super cool for a bbq outside with citronella oil!

Very nice. Just about exactly what I wanted. It will work great for most bottles. Some bottles with a larger opening, like some bottles from tequila, are a little too big. But wine bottles will work fine

Well, they fit the bottles well, and they were easy to get assembled, but even though I followed the directions (which are sort of a poor translation, but close enough for jazz)...the darn things wont stay lit. I'm using high-quality citronella lamp oil, but the wicks simply aren't wicking. Unsure what the precise issue is, but I wouldn't go with this particular set. That all having been said, the hardware (washers and fittings) are really great quality. It's just the wicks. :-(

Be prepared to make a trip to the hardware store. You’ll likely need rubber o rings to fit your specific bottles. You can find several options in any plumbing aisle. They only come with a set of very small o rings. Otherwise these work quite well. Ordered another set.

These do not work. They don't fit many wine bottles as others have mentioned and after soaking them they do not keep a flame. Worthless.

wish the cap was a little bigger but all good other than that. would definitely recommend
