Does this receiver support 3D? (HDMI ports 3D compatible)?

We had this unit for awhile and used an external amp for front, center and surround and used the height from the unit its self... worked great. definitely have ta use the room correction to get the full use of the unit.We moved on to an updated unit for the atmos. But have to say the sound quality on the 7009 with room correction opened new settings and sound. Hope this was helpful.

this receiver transmits video or audio only for airplay?

I'm not sure, as i also have apple TV so only use the SR7009's airplay for music.

According to the manufacturer's published specifications, the receiver does not support DTS X, it plays SACD only via the related RCA inputs and the internal DAC does not support DSD.
