Q: Didn't work on one pc, barely picked up sound on another. i did enable it and turned up sensitivity. what now?

I plugged my microphone into a USB port and it works fine.Try this and see if it works?Plug in microphone using a USB port.Right click the volume icon on the taskbar.Left click recording devices.Left click recording.Left click Microphone USB Default Device.Left click Properties.Left click Levels.Slide Microphone to 100%.I hope this helps.

Q: Is a foot to a foot and a half away from the mic too far to pick up a voice clearly ?

Mine is 3 foot away from me & my friends online don't have a problem hearing me.

Hi, The KLIM Voice is made to be connected directly by its UBS port, usually the USB/ Jack adaptors didn't work well :( Best, KLIM Team

Yes I would definitely use this Microphone in a Podcast situation. My Sister was having issues with skype and her work laptop not being able to be heard effectively. I sent this microphone to her and all her co-workers applauded the sound quality. She and I tested the quality via skype and on my end it sounded like she was on a radio show, or on a very high quality sound system in an auditorium. The volume control is excellent as well. I would recommend this Microphone to everyone!
