Great speaker
Been WFH for years now, wanted to stop playing the TV and sound system for music all day, so got this speaker for my desk. Great output an do move it to the kitchen often.Seems to need a charge every few days, but that's nothing, I'm positive this is less power than a 5.1 systemVery loud and good sound, definitely worth it! Speaker quality has definitely improved in the modern times, an this looks good (not all plastic and brightly colored), it blends into an office scene if you chose

Great sound at a good price
Terrific, full sound, more bass when you want it. Friends that experience mine usually buy one themselves.

wow!
i knew this device would sound great because the technology is the same as a bose wave radio..only difference is a subwoofer firing into a wave guide port instead of a full range speaker which means you dont need a huge expensive stand alone sub for movies..you can turn the bass boost off and still get excellent bass sound if placed near a corner.. the mids are loud and clear..no true highs though..definately can fill a small room with full sound..if you have a large roon two of these would be more than enough..

Great speaker, great price.
The sound quality is pretty fantastic if you use a fair quality or better wired 3.5mm to 3.5mm aux cable that is not included to connect your media source to the aux input connection of this speaker. I did not like the Bluetooth of this speaker, I admit I have audiophile or hifi taste that I sometimes like to adhere to when it is available and this speaker lives up to those standards quite capably when using the wired connection. At original settings I did not like the beeps that are at power on and again at off and then at another time I can't remember, they are a little bit obnoxiously loud. I think the light that indicates what is going on as far as what setting you are using or what input you are using is very useful but is hard to see at its current location depending on where you locate the speaker and the indicator light could maybe be located to a central part of the speaker. These 2 things, the light and the beeps can be disabled, by the way, if you'd like, it's mentioned in the instruction manual. If I could redesign this speaker I'd include a remote to the features of this particular model as this isn't very portable and likely to be indoor permanently by most users. A remote should definitely be in the future for a continued model of the like for the on/off and a few other controls such as maybe pairing and bass boost. The remote would also set it apart functionality wise apart from the long list of bluetooth speakers on the market. It has a very slight learning curve if you are new to the world of Bluetooth speakers, but if not everything functions as it should and has no problems that I have encountered. The instructions are very helpful if you are new to this type of speaker however. The included (charging) cord is a fine length but should be permanently connected and with a wall plugin on it in my eyes.At the current discounted price it is an exceptionally great value and even at slightly less than original price is a great price.I quite enjoy the sound of this and must find out how it improves by adding a second speaker so I am now needing to buy the second one, so be warned you may also find yourself with this curiosity and want to buy the a second speaker. Haha

Simply amazing
I love, love, love these speakers. I've bought two, so far. I might buy more. They are big, bold and bass-y beauties. I am impressed every time I use them. Yes they're heavy, but I hardly ever charge them so hmmmm! Just amazing.

Looks Good But Sound Not That Great
Ive been listening to the SoundBox now for a few months. When I first bought it and started listening to it (via Bluetooth from my iMac) I thought it sounded a little tinty, but nothing that my equalizer couldn't fix. I was wrong. I tried to up the bass to get a more natural sound, but it just distorted the sound big time. So I went back to my 10-year-old Bose Soundlink II, and it sounds great. I think I'll sell the SoundBox at my next garage sale, or keep it outside to play when I'm working in the backyard. I wish I would've sent it back to Amazon within the return window.

Sounds good, won't break the bank
I've been using a Sony SRS-X55 for years, and I love it. I wanted to get another one as a gift, but it's no longer available. I did a bit of research, and settled on this little Bose unit. I am a septuagenarian, and so is the recipient of the gift, so we are probably not the best judges of its fidelity. What I can say for certain is that it sounds great to us! The unit is compact, and it isn't overly heavy. It's got plenty of volume. Charge it, turn it on, and it works just fine. It's a great gift.

Treble is not crisp enough
Good quality and strong bass. Unfortunately treble is weak and not crisp enough for me. Wish you could have adjustment for treble as they do for bass.
