Pretty sturdy little wooden box! I am using this for a project with 4x6 index cards, not recipes, and the slots on the lid are a great feature. The plastic sleeve fits into the larger slots, and a “naked” card can also be inserted in the skinnier front slot. The lid itself opens up but doesn't fall all the way back (see photo). My one star off is for the front latch, it seems a little janky and not the same quality as the hinges and other metal connections.

What a great buy! I’ve been choosing a recipe box for quite a while and it was worth the wait. The struggle of a full drawer dedicated to dirty A4 recipe sheets is over.I like the simple beautiful look of this box and the natural wood. It’s well sanded and it feels nice in my hands.I can tell this is a high quality product and was made with care. I’m also super excited that the grooves allow me to use the clear card protector in the middle groove so it’s easy for me to look at the recipe. The recipe card without the card protector works best in the 1st and the 3rd groove.And what’s not to love about 1% of profits going to charity?Now I just have to take the time to rewrite all my recipes. Excited about this, will recommend to my friends!

I got this box as a gift for my MIL. She usually has loose leaf paper with recipes on her kitchen counter when she's preparing a feast and I really wanted to find a pretty way to corral it all. The box is beautifully made and has a slot for keeping a recipe standing on it to make life easier. the hinges not only work but add to the overall look of it. I had my husband woodburn a could of sunflowers onto the box to give it a really personalized feel. The box does come plain but the hingework makes it interesting enough on it's own. The biggest surprise was that it's decently heavy in the best way and I have a feeling this will last for a long time. The cards that came with it are also great and the dividers will be useful. Overall I hope my MIL likes it as much as I do.

I am a firm believer in 100% customer satifaction and that is exactly what you experience when you purchase....OK, actually you get 110%! My recipe box had been damaged in transit with not much time to spare due to the holidays fast approaching. This was a Christmas present that appeared, at least upon arrival, was not going to make it under the tree :( Danielle went up and beyond to ensure a replacement was sent within 1 day so that it would make it for Christmas morning. I got tears eyes when I opened the box. It’s beautifully made. At first I was worried because 1 box was torn a little at the top, but when I saw how it was packaged, it went away. I purchased 2 Recipe boxes to gift my daughters for Christmas. They are in their 20’s and I wanted them to have something that can be shared with their friends and when they have their own families. I’ve asked family members and friends that have had influence in their lives to send me recipes to include in their boxes.The Recipe Card Dividers include includes helpful info for the new and novice cook.I am not disappointed in the least. I will keep some cards so that in the future, family found or new recipes can be given to them.I hope the pictures help you in your decision. These recipe boxes are so well worth it. Beautifully made. I’m very confident it will last them throughout their lifetime and after.

I do my best to purchase items made in the USA. I saw a box made by Zen Earth which was under review by Amazon,so could not be ordered...the very first question on that page asked where it was made and the answer was Canada.I did a google search for Zen Earth recipe box and this one came up. I trusted that it was made in Canada from the Amazon answer,so ordered it. For this particular box,there is also an answer from the seller that it is made in China because to produce it in the US would not be profitable. Customers should not have to search to find where a product is made,it should be included with basic information.

Very very impressed, not only with the company but the product. You get a lot for your money and everything is high quality. I looked for days for other recipe boxes and didn't see many that were under $35. This is very reasonably priced and comes with recipe cards, dividers and plastic covers that are over $20 alone.

Finally! a beautiful Recipe Box that functions. All priceless recipes can be placed inside just waiting to be summoned. I was Surprised & quite Delighted when I opened the packaging & saw this. Quality & Organization are the functions here. If ever you purchased something & questioned why you did it, you will be as pleased as I am with this box.
