This battery saved me from buying a new laptop! I was ready to pitch it but tried this battery out first. It fired right up! It fit in nice and snug, too. No wobbling!

I bought this for an old Dell Inspiron 1545 that was given to me with a dead battery. For the price, it is ok.It lasts about an hour of regular use. The main problem is that it will report battery life as a linear decline from 100% - 47% as one would expect. But then it will jump from 47% immediately to ~9% and then rapidly decline to 0% in ~3-5 minutes.So I basically assume that once I hit 50% battery, I really only have about 15% remaining.I don't know if the battery is defective in the sense that it cannot accurately report remaining capacity or if there is a damaged cell.

I have a Dell 1545, This is the first battery to work and charge in the 1545 laptop. Yes it will charge. Better then other batteries I have tried. It has a tight fit in the battery compartment, just like it should be. I have only owned this battery for less then 24 hours. So this is a first look and use of this product. When i put it in the system, it popped up and said less then 2 % charge. Which I am happy to find a charge on the battery. Some I have tried, from other sellers had no charge and would not charge as well. I hook up the charger and it charged quickly, I almost think it charge too 100 % to quickly. Once it was fully charged I disconnected it and tried it out. The life of the battery for the first time was questionable, I say this because it would say I have 10 hrs of life, then in less 36 mins it showed it only had 24 % left on the charge of the battery. I will try it some more and make a logical decision if really works like it should of if it is just glitch or fluke with the battery. First impression is that if it charged so quickly in less then 15 mins to 100 % from 2% , might be an issue with the life and cells with the battery. Not working correctly. Time will tell.

Fit perfectly, came with a 70% charge (good cause you should not ship discharged). Arrived in 2 days. No instructions though (should tell you to completely discharge then recharge to 100%). 9-cell so it has the "hump" on back of battery, which is great to raise rear of laptop for increased ventilation.
