Yes and No
For the price, I feel this is a great purchase, especially if your bird is a bit smaller and not overly distructive. Though it clearly not a pak-o-bird which is considered gold standard, they still incorporated a very thoughtful design especially for this price point. Not only does this actually includes some wire mesh on the sides which helps with safety and durability, but they window is large enough to provide great air flow. The top mesh is sadly plastic, but at least that helps with the airflow and visibility. It also includes a really nice metal tray with metal covering for droppings and this can be removed on it's own through a lower zipper - love that. It is comfortable to wear and easy to move around. What could be better - The bag is a bit smaller than expected. This is mostly because the top flap is more rounded than squared, so headspace is cutoff and the perch cannot be adjusted to help with this. My smaller Congo African Grey does fit and can use it, my larger Congo African Grey cannot - it's just too small. The food bowls are also very small and clip on. What would have been nice would have been the option on using a water bottle, even if it cost more and a more secure way to attach the food bowl.My overall opinion is that it's a really nice small alternative to the typical carry cage that costs a fraction of the price of the high quality competitor. It's compact and a great option for smaller birds, but with small adjustments could work really well for medium sized parrots. Definitely better quality than a lot of the other lower priced options.

Best budgie transportation
This bag is perfect for taking my budgies out on walks during the warmer months, it's big enough to fit all three of my birds. Super easy to zip up and secure them comfortably, super sturdy, the perches don't fall or become loose. Also I love the design so I can wear the carrier on my back or my chest.

Excellent overall-suggest 2 tiny modifications
Love all the room inside and proper ventilation. Love the color. Love the quality workmanship! However, as soon as I placed my DESTRUCTIVE African Grey inside and zipped her up, she found the only area that she could rip up pretty fast. (See photos) So I had to modify it. It’s perfect now. She can’t destroy anything now except her toy. Pretty easy for me but maybe a company redesign in that area would help other folks with African Greys who can’t help but destruct. Also, a chest strap would be beneficial as it would help stabilize and stay on. I’ll apply that later, too.Seriously, though, I’d buy it again !!!

Ok for a short outing
Don't leave your bird in this carrier for too long. I brought Robert home from the pet store in this carrier. He was ok but it was only a 20min car ride. I can imagine when he has to go to the vet. It might be a fight to the death to get him in here again. It does the job.

Light weight. Good construction. Top Handle for ease of carry
This bird carrier is perfect in every way. Very good construction, light weight and having a perch is a plus. I did not use it as a backpack but carried it with the top handle. I was able to seat belt it in my car for the trip to the Avian Vet. That said , my Galah Loki hated it. Unfortunately for him it is a necessity for car trips

Perfect travel cage
I love this bid cage backpack. I probably won't ever wear it as a backpack because I'd have to put it on, have someone put my bird in, then before I take it off have someone take the bird out. The handle on top is probably all i'll use and it only slightly tips forward when picked up which I think is totally doable for the bird. The clip-on bowls are particularly cute, they seem really sturdy too. Easy to remove and put back on and the bird won't be able to tip them over if he stands on them. The only thing I would add is a ring or something to hang 1 bird toy. I will use this to bring my bird to the office on occasion (and to the vet) and when he's just hanging out at the office I would like him to have a toy. Definitely not a deal breaker. I got the mesh sides for extra air flow and I like that part. I would make the wires that sits on the tray much closer together. Even for a large parrot these seem pretty wide and I'll be using it for a small conure and lovebird. Their tiny feet will fall right through. We may have to remove the wire but still not the end of the world. Most of the travel cages I looked at didn't have the wire at all. I plan to use it Friday for the first time and will update if I have any additional thoughts.

Destructible
This backpack isn’t durable. Our Sun Conure chews through everythingggggggg. Clothes, silicone, his harness, clothes!! He managed to chew through this as well and let himself out. Thankfully it was just around my office. The perch didn’t allow his tail to rest confortably either. Its placement it is placed strangely. Maybe consider a bird’s tail sticks out further than their head. All the openings are great and it’s comfortable to wear. It’s just the mesh that needs to be reassessed and stronger for menaces like our bird.

Love it!
Love the design on how the all sides can be covered or open so my birb can see when he's outside. He likes it!!! Size is just right for my pet cockatiel, very spacious inside, comfortable and durable. Easy to assemble!
