A Literary Christmas: An Anthology Hardcover – Illustrated, 1 Oct. 2015

A beautiful book with a collection of poems, short stories and prose extracts by classic writers of the English language from Charles Dickens to Anthony Trollope. I would have given five stars had there been more illustrations, still a beautiful book though, full of Christmas cheer.

Great selection of christmas excerpts, stories and poems for adults and older children. A couple of the stories not suitable for younger children, as some vivid descriptions of war and also one story in particular drops some heavy clues which gives the game away in relation to the bearded man in reds identity. Lovely gift I am giving it to a few people this year.

A delightful book. Beautifully produced with gorgeous illustrations. My partner and I read out one story/poem each evening and it just makes for a good feeling. The miscellany has been chosen very well from modern to old, witty and reflective readings. I love it.

A nice anthology of some of the best writing about Christmas in English. If Christmas is about much more than expensive gifts, Them rthis book is for you. Each story helps get you in the Christmas mood (if you are not already); they make you think about Christmas, they move you and they make you laugh...they are great writing!

This is the best Christmas book that I've found, It's lovely to dip in and out of it as the stories and poems are lovely

Wonderful little book by a marvelous writer. Beautiful prose with not a word out of place.

I really enjoyed this book, it got me into the Christmas​ spirit with its fun and thoughtful pieces from lots of different sources!
