This is the very best unit of its type on Amazon HANDS-DOWN. I have tested several now and returned them. I am a multi-degreed engineer with a deer and skunk problem. You bet I tested these out. This one looks like others but it has really good electronics. I think but not sure that the others are copies. This is actually the lowest priced of its type on Amazon or eBay. Ships to Colorado in three days. Yes I opened up all of the units I purchased. Right off all of the inferior units were advertised to come with NiMh batteries but actually came with NiCad, which by the way do not work with a solar charging system over three or four days. If you are looking for a true electronic deterrent unit this is the one. It works better if you extend the mast about 18". You'll have to figure that out yourself because none of the sellers offer and extension and the aluminum tubing is metric sized, not available here. A 1" wood dowel with the ends turned down to the right diameter would work. I used 1" Alum seamless tubing and a lathe to get the right diameters. Maybe cut a broom handle or something and taper the end? These work best 18 to 24" off of the ground. It will also extend the life of the unit because when it rains with the short mast it splatters dirt all over the unit used in a garden. I am absolutely not associated in any way with the seller... I have a job already.

There are no signs of raccoons in the garden any more ! No more daily cleanup to be done ! Very satisfied with my purchase !I keep the setting at #2 for raccoons and switch at times to #4 for the alarm. I test it daily and it's working efficiently in a sunny spot.And answers to my questions to the seller were returned fast and were very helpful ! Excellent customer service !Would recommend this Belidan Animal Repeller.

I bought six of these in March 2018 to fend off deer and my two dogs (Golden Retrievers). At first, the dogs seemed to shy away from them but that did not last long. After several weeks, the dogs seemed to either ignore of be unaffected by them (as evidenced by the fact that one dog dug a hole very close to two of the repellers). As for the deer, they did seem to stay away from the areas around the repellers.However, the repellers started failing after 1-2 months. Even under direct sunlight for consecutive days, they stopped charging. I removed the batteries to find they are likely very cheap batteries (I find identical-looking rechargeable batteries online for relatively low prices). I put new alkaline batteries into the repellers and they all worked.I bought top of the line eneloop rechargeable batteries but they only worked for a short time, then the repellers stopped working again. The batteries charged fine in my charger, so that tells me the repellers were not charging properly.Also, after several months, the screws on the battery cover rusted and water got under the cover of a couple of the solar panels.Bottom line is that I cannot recommend these. They don't last long outside, the original batteries are cheap, and there may be an issue with charging after only a short time of use. In addition, at least some dogs may get used to them or just choose to ignore them.

I purchased two of these Animal Repellent Ultrasonic Outdoor Animal Repellers because I had an unknown and undesired pest feasting on my IRIS Bulbs during the overnight hours. THESE REPELLERS WORK! The Pest is no no longer feasting on my bulbs and is no longer a guest. Customer Service Support from Belidan is simply amazing!! These people stand behind their product 100%, they really care about their customers. The product has various settings, and is easy to set-up. The documentation with the product is clear and to the point. I found that my overnight guest was a skunk, I had used setting #2 as recommended, but found that option #4 with the strobe light worked much better, but the skunk, got use to that setting. So I decided to try setting #5, this emits a mix of three different sound waves and a flashing strobe light, this setting did the trick, it sent my guest packing! He's gone and my IRIS Bulbs are safe. Thank you for creating such a great quality product and for your Outstanding customer support. NOTE TO BUYERS: Be sure that this unit receives full sun, so that the internal rechargeable batteries have a chance to fully charge during the day, otherwise the battery will not be strong enough to last the whole night. I have my units in the garden with some shade, so I remove them and place them in an area of full sun during the day, then I place them back on their poles in the early evening and turn the units on. These units can also be charged inside with an a/c - d/c adapter. Great Product and easy to use and install.

I bought 4 of these. Only 1 of them worked for more than a couple of days. Probably not enough sun for the other 3 (I guessed), though 1 of them was full of water from some rain we had. One of them that was in full sun actually worked for a couple of weeks ... and then I noticed the screws on the battery panel rusted ... so I called Belidan ... and they said "don't worry, it won't affect performance ... and then a few days later it stopped working ... so, I bought an adapter (not included) to recharge the batteries ... I charged the batteries for two days ... and then it worked again ... for two days ... so, now I'm thinking it needs replacement batteries if the ones that I have don't work ... but, guess what ... the screws to the battery compartment are so rusted that I can't unscrew them ... what a piece of junk.
