Good for freshwater bait fishing
I use then for power bait trout fishing.The hole is to small for thicker rod handles so they will not work for the bigger rods I use for saltwater and some people use for big catfish.

I like this better than the 'Y' holder where you rest the rod's end on the ground where it can get muddy. This, however, needs to be pressed deeper into the ground to be sturdy. Thanks!
