I got this to separate my baby and my dog. She likes to crawl after him and he is a senior dog who likes to be left alone. This is perfect - was super easy to assemble and is very durable!

We purchased this gate to prevent our dogs from unsupervised access to certain areas of our home. The objective was to secure a 70” opening from a hallway into our living room. It is the perfect height/width. We have six German Shepherd Dogs. The majority averaging 90 pounds.Installation took roughly 20 minutes. A level is not a necessity. But we would recommend it. One could probably install it in 10 minutes, if your not using a level to check/double check placement of the hardware. The process is fast, with only basic tools required. We chose a screw gun. Although hand tools would have been just fine.We have been using it (pleasantly) for about a month. None of our dogs have “jumped” over, or crawled under the gate. Unfortunately with most of the other gates we’ve purchased, including 48” tall metal gates, our dogs have jumped over, or eventually “broken through! So far, so good, with this one! They haven’t even tried.The locking mechanism is easy to use. When not in use, the gate neatly & discretely tucks away. The fact that you can see through the mesh, allows light to flow into the hallway. Which is pleasing to the eye, as compared to obstructive, and rigid metal or plastic gates.Overall, we are very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this gate for dog owners!

This Extra Tall Retractable Baby Gate is great. What I really liked about it:1) it was easy to install2) it looks nice and “expensive”3) the mesh is good quality, smooth and thick4) it retracts smoothly and has a convenient opening/handle, so you could open/close with just 1 hand!Overall, I’m very impressed with the quality of this product for the fraction of the cost. Also, it was hard to find the gate that is EXTRA tall (42 inches), and I’m grateful for finding this one. We installed it in the entrance to the basement (see a picture), because it doesn't have a door, just a staircase.

I love being able to completely retract this gate and have no frame or threshold to contend with. My old gate has a metal frame you have to step over. I bought the tall gate because I have a larger dog and my granddaughter is very tall for her age. It seems ok IF my dog doesn't jump on it. I am concerned that it might not hold up to her weight (75#) should she decide to jump and put her weight into it. Definitely should be an adequate barrier for a toddler.It was really easy to install and it is designed to function over floor moulding and trim. Many gates don't work because of the location of the brackets and the baseboards. This one is adjustable.The spring is really tight and operating this gate with one hand is difficult for me. Perhaps it's because it is new or because it is the taller size. I wish the locking/unlocking mechanism was a bit more user friendly. If I had to open and close this 100 times a day, I don't think I would recommend it. For me, it's mostly to keep the dog away from the stairs overnight so it only gets opened and closed a few times per day .Very attractive. I chose the grey. Sturdy material.

Very easy to install and looks great.

This was super easy to install. I like that it’s adjustable to the size I need it. The opening is pretty small so it’s hard to find a gate that fits. My 3 year old had learned how to maneuver the other baby gates. This is perfect. It even locks.

I got this gate to keep my parents dogs from running the house. She has 4 small dogs but they can jump. So went with the extra tall gate. It doesn’t matter how tight you have the gate, the dogs just scratch at the bottom and then slide under it. I have tried moving the gate, made sure it was level and they still escape. I am sure it would work for a larger dog but if your dog is less then 10lbs. Don’t count on this working for them.
