Osti Original Cheese Slicer in Stainless Steel with White Handle, Plastic

I had a plastic version of this for years which was so handy and then recently it snapped. Disaster! However found this one and it is brilliant. The two width wires let you choose the size of cheese slice you need and it's easy to slide the wire down the block of cheese and make even neat slices. It doesn't go right to the bottom of the cheese, but only leaves a little morsel for the chef !! Good value and you can get replacement wires.

The best medium to hard cheese slicer I’ve ever used. I bought my original one in Denmark and only replaced the cutting wire recently after 5+ years of use.

Does what it needs to, has a thick and thin side and even though it's expensive, it's worth it! Handle the wires nicely and you won't be replacing them ever!

Very substantial, and has a replaceable wire. Two sizes of slice, makes it economical to use and easy to clean with brush.

After only the 4 of 5th usage the wires have become loose and therefore thin and thick slices are more or less the same. Rather disappointing considering all the reviews being so positive.

A nice looking slicer that works well. I also bought a pack of spare wires. These are still in the packet, the originals not giving any problems during the few months we have been using the slicer. For hard cheese, we use a knife, rather than risk breaking a wire. Common sense really & not a problem.

Very good cheese slicer. I have tried 2 cheaper cheese wires but both snapped at the handle near the rivet,within only 3 or 4 months of use.

Slices cheese but not great when you get to the end of the block of cheese.

Estando en casa de un amigo en Alemania descubrí este cortador. Va de maravilla para quesos tiernos tipo comté o de Mahón, Emmental, etc, que se venden en un bloque y que permite ser cortado facilmente con este cortador.

Soft cheeses always jamb up on regular knives. This makes evenly thick slices of soft cheese every time. The wire will last months or even years if washed by hand. In the dishwasher, the wire will last maybe six cycles. This is not meant for hard cheeses.

I slice cheese almost every day. I bought several different tools over the years… usually the T shaped ones. This one works perfectly. It's simple, well designed easy to clean and well built.
