Not all Patchouli scents are equal though and we use fine aged* Patchouli essential oil in our blend for the richest, most authentic scent. * Fresh Patchouli essential oil has a harsh and pungent scent some say is reminiscent of dirt. Aged Patchouli becomes sweeter and more mellow with time and a warm amber character evolves. Our Patchouli has been aged up to 8 years and just keeps getting better and better.
