Great set of walks, accurate timings, slightly dodgy driving advice
Could be organised a little better to help you find shorter walks. Overall very good, just be wary that when it says a road is passable by car, has been paved, etc, that's all it means. We ended up on a couple of single track roads going up the side of mountains that we expected to open up, but never did, and found it difficult turning around to come back when we were finished!

La Gomera: Rother Walking Guide
Compact and handy format (although quite heavy for the size - which one might notice when going up all the hills :-) ) Good selection of walks in all parts of this island. The timings are probably more appropriate for people used to walking in the Alps rather than the Fens; just because of the geography, most walking in La Gomera entails a significant amount of climb and descent. Directions are fine if not overly detailed, but then more detail would involve more weight.Recommended (as is walking in La Gomera).

Handy travel companion
The book, as all other from the series is just incredibly helpful, when you decide to explore the island on foot. It's frequently updated and it's almost impossible to get lost with it.Plus all the hikes led us to truly spectacular places.I somehow wish, there was an english translation for El Hierro also.

Good Guide - beware the times
A good guide with adequately detailed notes on the routes and features of a trail.It was also nice to get the download for a gps - our 1st use.In fairness the guide says the times are the walking times, no stops , phot stops etc but we think we walk briskly but invariably took much longer than the suggested times

This is the go to book for La Gomera. All the walkers there have it in many languages. Clear and easy to use.

Very good book
Very good little book. We took this during our holiday and helped us a lot. It also has a bit of background on the island which is appreciable.It has relatively clear and precise information and direction.The biggest plus is its light weight and size perfect for hikes.

Très bien, traces Gps impeccablesL île est magnifique et les randonnées proposées sont bien choisiesAttention, certain temps de randonnée (mais pas tous) sont sous évalués, même pour des randonneurs rapides et expérimentés, par ex. pour la 4 ils nous donnent 4h10 pour plus de 12km et 800m de dénivelé, on a faillit louper le bateau pour le retour !Je vous conseille de regarder la distance et le dénivelé, qui eux sont corrects, pour vous faire une idée réaliste du temps de randonnée

Excellent guide!
Very concise and practical. Would definitely recommend this guide to anyone interested in hiking on La Gomera. Seemed like everyone I met on a trail had a copy of this guide with them.

Belles randos dans une belle île
Comme tous les guides Rother, celui sur la Gomera est très bien fait, avec des photos, des cartes, des infos précises pour se diriger. Juste un défaut : pourquoi n'existe t-il pas en français ?
