immediate success!
Amazing instant results! I have a GSD x Lab, 6 months and 26kg. constant pulling was causing me terrible back pain and a fortune in osteopath appointments. Having tried harnesses and various collars/leads/techniques, my dog trainer and various dog owners recommended this.I was told a horse is controlled through a nose harness so it would work for a dog no matter how big! I found it easy to fit ( follow the video) and treated constantly "through the hole" with dairylea on my fingers(!), before fitting it. started with short and frequent sessions. She's not that keen and will try to rub it off her nose a bit but on the whole, isn't that bothered once we get walking - which we can now do! I use a standard lead and collar at the same time, holding both leads and just using very gentle pressure ( only one finger needed)on the gencon when she tries to pull, which has instant results and she drops back. She is hardly bothering to pull at all now after two walks. I click and treat a fair bit too. I tried the halti type but they were a nightmare to fit with the clip and were not as soft. This just slips over and will fit any size dog. Does not go anywhere near her eyes nor restrict her sniffing or eating.Am so pleased!

Enjoying our walks now this works well
At last a lead system That works. Having tried all kinds of leads and harnesses this is the best design for my 1 year old cocker spaniel. He still tries to pull along out of excitement but I just stand still call him back and off we go. In my opinion much kinder than the halti head harness (which he’s chewed through 2). Only downside I have is it does choke him a little whilst he’s pulling, which the halti didn’t do. This is due to it crossing under the chin catching his windpipe. On the whole as his walking to heal is greatly improved I consider this a win given a few more weeks I’m confident the pulling should stop. Actually enjoying walks now.

Doesn't ride up over his eyes & doesn't irritate under his chin
It's so easy 2 put on & take off, ideally could of been a bit longer but other than that it's great

Transforms the dog.
Normally i wouldn't recommend anything without giving a good trial first but i am so pleased with this lead i just had to say something,After 9 years of sheer hell taking my hyper active Cavalier Spaniel for walks and having my arm pulled off, and trying everything to change his behaviour, i got to the stage of just not taking him for long walks anymore as i invariably suffered as a result,I tried everything including a halti lead which he managed to remove before we even got to the gate, as for training, thats easier said than done, he is just one of those dogs who refused to comply come what may.I desparation i did yet another internet search and found the Gencon, what a difference, he did manage to remove the nose loop within a couple of hundred yards of the walk but that was my fault in giving him a bit of free reign, however, after that and for the rest of the walk he was a different dog, ok he didn't like it at first but by the end of the walk he was trotting alongside me nicely, at one stage where we were walking on a footpath bordering a road, a car went by which caused him to do his usual lunge but the lead stopped him midway through it, he never tried it after that,The lead is well made, strong and is sure to last a long time, from the dogs point of view it is probably very comfortable, my one day trial has been a pleasure, if that changes in future walks i will update this review, in the meantime i can honestly say its worth every penny, Brilliant, thanks Gencon.

Really helped with control during walking. A little tricky ...
Really helped with control during walking. A little tricky to work out how to put it on at first - but then no problems. Just wish they made a stronger one as my dog bit through it after a week. A stronger lead would have got 5 stars!

puts pressure on the throat and causes retching
When I read the reviews I was really excited and hoped it would work as well as described. Unfortunately soon found out that this lead isn't as good as I'd hoped as it puts pressure on the throat and makes them choke/throw up. I was using it in the way it tells you to and sought advice to see if I was using incorrectly. I wasn't and was ultimately very disappointed. It may work for others but for us it sadly didn't. I have a Labrador.

My husky hates it
This product does the job perfectly. No pulling, however, my husky is still trying to take it off after more than a week of using it so I'm not sure she will get used to it. You can tell she doesnt like it. I took it off a couple of times and switched to normal lead and she instantly pulls me mad. I can't have that since I'm pregnant and don't want to risk a fall so even if she doesn't like it I will keep using the gencon because it works.

Worked but not suited to our Jack Russell
Stopped from pulling as much, but think it's not quite right for our Jack Russell. Seemed uncomfortable on his throat somehow when he pulled and the noise strap went quite close to his eyes.
