What kind of adhesive used to wrap around? Covering a hard cover with the fabric.

Instead of adhesive/glue, I used a non-powered light duty stapler, available at fabric stores. 5/16" long staples worked for me as I was fastening to 1/2" thick birch wood speaker baffle.

Is this material pervious to ir. Ie, remote signals

Yes. Sound and signals can easily go through the fabric.

Does this have UV protection? It will be in direct sun.

Not sure but the material is softer and spongier than I expected.
