They're painful at the top of my feet

Everything I read said to order your true size because they stretch, so I did... And they are SO tight I can't wear them. They're painful at the top of my feet. I tried to wear them around the house for a few days but they aren't stretching at all. There is also a part of the show where the glue shows under the crochet- making it look stained. I'm super bummed cause I love how pretty these are, but can't wear them. Hoping I can return or exchange.
