These handles are beautifully made, which is rare these days. They are a bit fiddly to install though. If you've not a lot of experience with doors, just check out the door latch 'depth' - technically called the 'backset'. This is the depth of the handle centre from the door edge. If you have lever handles, and replace with knobs, then a 2.5" backset will likely catch your hand on the knob. I hadn't realised this, and had to change all my door latches. Secondly, these handles have an unusual mechanism where the handles are threaded onto the bar that goes inside the door, and then fixed in place with a small grub screw that is accessed through a small hole on the rose. The mechanism is fine, but for some reason it is quite sensitive to exact placement of the rose on the door - if you get it out even fractionally, the door handle will be stiff to turn. I can hear you thinking 'should have measured' - well I did, and carefully too, but that just seemed to make things worse. After a few of these, I'm now doing this by eye, centering the bar, and then attaching one screw to a rose each side of the door, and then proceeding with the rest once I've confirmed that the handles turn easily. It's a bit of a faff, but it seems to work more reliably than careful measurement and marking for some reason. On the whole though, very happy with the outcome.

Wow so it looks good infact I’d say it looks great but and there’s a but ..... the price it’s the price but if your like me and go on impulse and heart meaning if you like the look and got to have it then you’ll also see that the price is steep it’s also some what awkward to install if your elderly like me

These are a perfect match with the handles in our Victorian house. I wanted to replace some cheap-looking metal handles in the kitchen and utility rooms and wanted to match the handles in the rest of the house. These look exactly the same and feel great quality. The company who sell them also sell the threaded mortice bars that come with the handles separately - I wanted to replace a bar where the thread had got stripped and had looked all over for these with no success.

At last fitted these door knobs, it was so easy and uncomplicated. These door knobs are just great, matching our other knobs but a little larger which makes them easier to turn. Skight downside was each fitting requires 4 matching screws but only 7 in the bag instead of the 8 required.Other than that just brilliant and would 100% recommend - will certainly by more when I have to replace all the other internal door knobs.Ordered again to replace a broken one, brilliant door knob and looks good.

Really good quality and they blend in nicely with some of our originals we have in the house, will be back for more👍

Restoring our Georgian house has been hard graft to say the least, but when you find items like these it makes it truly rewarding. Yes, I might find original pairs (think silly money) but it's nearly impossible to find say ten pairs that are of the same pattern. The previous owner had populated the house with nasty, cheap, oversized brass bling things which were just so wrong. Order and authenticity regained. Highly recommended!
