You should if used by directions get approx 200 cups from one 400g bag and yes as long as the seive is a tight mesh it will be ok Hope this answers your question

Can you use this tea for boba?

I don't see why not. I use it for Thai tea, add milk and sugar and it tastes great. You could add boba to it.
