Two Years - Still quiet and reliable
The media could not be loaded. I have been running the Switchbot Blind Tilt for just over two years now and it has performed flawlessly. Very easy to set up and configure.I use the Switchbot Blind Tilt in conjuction with Home Assistant. It was easy to connect with the Switchbot Bluetooth local integration, only minor issue is within Home Assistant the cover goes from Open to Closed, this will take it from Closed > Open > Closed again on the blind as a tilt blind can close in two directions. Simple solution with a 'helper' cover entity. The Switchbot blind tilt rarely misses a command and normally activates within a second of being commanded, very good for a bluetooth device.

Affordable smart home solutions siding the right way
I’ve had this fitted for a couple of years now and I really can’t fault it.It was easy to install and connects reliably to Alexa and my smartphone via with SwitchBot bridge (works fine with the cheaper bridge if you don’t want the extra features including temperature sensor). The blind can also be operated remotely when away from home and included in Amazon Alexa routines, to give the appearance someone is at home when the house is empty.I set the unit up with the included solar panel, and have not had to plug the unit in to the mains to recharge it one, even in the winter. However, I only open and close the blind once most days, so if you have it on a blind that gets a lot of use, then you may find it needs the occasional charge from the mains too.As a disabled person, this helps me with something I would be unable to do otherwise, so I’m pleased that an inexpensive and easy to fit bit of kit is available.I intend to buy more of these when I have more blinds fitted around the house. V impressed.

Good item but an eye sore
It was slightly bigger than I expected and it’s really ugly to look at. It functions really well so no complaints about how it worked just a bit of an ugly product to have on your blinds

Smart technology for tilt blinds. Highly recommended.
Ordered 3 pack. Came with hub. Fitted all 3 devices in no time at all with supplied adapters and wand attachments. Paired with app no problem. Hub added to app / Alexa no problem.Great use is as a security device to open / close automatically to give the allusion that property is occupied.App is good for scenes and automations. Also, can be set up to open close using light sensor to keep house nice and cool.Things to be aware of. Alexa skilly is limited to fully open / fully closed down. You might have to shape any blind valance to fit around device. The supplied cable could do with being a bit longer or an extension cable provided in the case where device is fitted to wand, solar panel is fitted to opening window which effects light sensing.

Nice technology!
I’ve had these blind tilt motors installed in my bedroom for over a year, and they’ve performed exceptionally well. The battery life is impressive—typically lasting between four and five months—and I’ve configured them to adjust with the sunrise, which they usually handle without a hitch.I’m planning to buy more soon to automate the rest of the house. Setting them up was quick and straightforward, and once they’re running, you barely have to think about them. They’re quiet, dependable, and blend seamlessly into your daily routine. The only minor drawback is that the automations occasionally need a manual adjustment to work as expected.

Really useful piece of kit
Fabulous idea, easy to set up. I can open or close my Venetian blinds with my voice on Alexa, or with my remote control, also with the SwitchBot app on my smartphone. Super handy for when I’m away from home for a few days, I can open or close them at random times, so it looks like the house is occupied. Really useful.

NOT Alexa compatible - Prepare for headaches
I had high hopes for the SwitchBot Blind Tilt, but I’ve been disappointed by persistent connectivity issues. Even after buying the additional hub, I couldn’t get it to connect to Alexa, and many other users seem to have the same issue. None of the suggested third-party apps worked for me either, so I’m stuck adjusting the blinds solely through the SwitchBot app.The device itself is okay but feels underpowered, even with an almost full battery. Overall, I’m disappointed—these blinds were chosen specifically for smart home integration, which has unfortunately fallen short.Editing to add; Alexa compatibility did eventually work, some weeks later. I think they updated something or other and it eventually worked. However we were unhappy with the build quality and connectivity issues we faced so ended up returning them all (and hub) for a full refund.
