Simple and effective
Works well for peeling off slices. Metal/plastic interface seems well enough designed to last for a while. Big plus is it takes up almost no space as an effective kitchen tool.

Looks different, works though.
Works. Both sides are thin slices, compared to others.

Broke upon first use
Used ONCE to slice a piece of cheddar and the wire loosened and dislodged. Now it is worthless. It had ONE job. What the heck with this lousy cheese slicer?!

Purchased in 2011 and Still Using It Frequently
This was a very inexpensive product that I brought in 2011 after tossing several other options. I use a cheese plane frequently. I am shopping for a knife set for my brother and thought I recognized the brand name. I was surprised at how few reviews the brand seems to have, so I am adding this one. It's not a special cheese plane by any means, but it does the job. I may take a chance on the three knife set for my brother as he covets my Faberware cheese knife and the set has a cheese knife it in in addition to the plane. I don't put any knife or anything wooden in the dishwasher. The cheese plane pretty much looks like it does in its picture. I don't use it for soft cheeses. I use it for Swiss and cheddar, occasionally for Parmesan. It does not work well on smoked Gouda, that's a bit too soft.

Good for soft cheeses
Good for making nice slices of soft cheeses. Good size, easy cleaning, but not good for hard cheeses, not very durable, screw comes out and wire fails. But price is reasonable for this quality.
