These handles don't work!
I bought four sets of these so they would match all our bedrooom doors. They were professionally fitted but just two weeks later they are spinning around and if anyone closes a door behind them they could get locked in. Yes, they look good, and yes, they arrived on time, but they're useless! Total waste of money.

I do like a nice solid knob.
These have a nice weight and quality feel to them. A great way to smarten up doors with mismatched knobs in our Victorian Pile!As to the locking screws - will have to wait and see - but so far so good. If I have no problems over the coming weeks then I will probably order more so we can get all our doors matching. The locking screws do need to be tightened properly into the groove of the mortice bar. If you tighten the locknut anywhere else then yes they will quickly work loose. The trick to this is to turn the knob back and forth on the bar as you tighten the locknut - once there is no free play in the knob then you know it's properly seated and then you can properly tighten the locknut. The only way that the knob can come loose then is if the locknut actually unscrews. IF that really is a problem, then a dab of locking compound should stop that happening (nail varnish can be quite effective if you don't have any proper threadlock). Now just need to see if I can get the same design for rim-locks as our house has a mix of rim and mortice ... grrrr...
