Good sturdy mixer good value

Using for concrete and mortar , mixes well, seems to be sturdy and easy to clean. With large entry to drum it is easy to load and with wheel and handle it is easy to move. Very pleased with it.

Easy to assemble even though instructions were pretty useless. The most helpful instructions were the indications of which bag of bolts was for which stage of build. Recommend to assemble the mixer bowl you separate the 2 halves, lay the rubber gasket on the outer bowl and screw the bolts into the gasket to retain it and guarantee fitment BEFORE youmate the bowl halves together. On mine the alignment arrows on either bowl half didnt line up so took a few minutes to work out how to fix the mixing paddles. The instruction photo is correct, the thin end of the paddles bots to the bottom of the main bowl where it fits to the main bearing. Leave these loose so that you can easily fit the other ends to the top half of the bowl once you have it fitted. The mixing paddles bolt hole for the outer bowl half doesnt properly align, but when you get the bowl halves and the paddles aligned and tighten all the bolts its all works perfectly. Next tip, the interlock plate bolts ( the disc with the slots) takes a huge load when the mixer is running and is full, these must be very tight and locked using loctite or paint...Used this for a long time this weekend. Found it cannot cope with a nearly full bowl, its just too heavy for the motor and the drive gear. For me the optimum load was 30kg sand, 10kg cement, and the appropriate amt of water, i also threw in a couple of kilos of gravel for the use i had for this mix. At this load the machine coped without the motor smelling too hot and the gear struggling..so total weight in the bowl abt 50kg.. hope that helps..

This mixer is very good. So far i've mixed 2 cubic metres, another 4 to mix and the mixer shows no sign of giving up. Definitely a better buy than hiring. Motor gets a bit warm but it was 34 degrees outside. Wobbles a bit with too full a load but did 15 ballast and 3 cement and it coped admirably. Would definitely recommend it over a Belle, seems to be on par, same wattage and almost half the price. Very happy with this, would recommend.

Many thanks Paul Cairns.Having spent the afternoon putting the mixer together, which was challenging but having had a previous mixer, relied on experience. Pushed the on switch but nothing happened. Checked previous reviews and found that Paul had had the same problem. Took the motor cover off to find that the neutral connection to the on off switch was not connected. Bingo - sorted. This connection could / should not have come loose in transit - where is the product Quality Control. Also the drum rotation mechanism seems very flimsily but will leave ability to mix in ambience, will report back once used a couple of times. From a nervous buyer

All as expected. Assembly easy, although the instructions supplied were not as clear as they could have been.

Assembly instructions a complete joke! “Using the bolt set no.4, and wheel of the heeling, we screw the bolt from the bottom, and from the top we put spring and stopper”. And “this bolt should be screw”. Etc..... all accompanied by grainy black and white photos.Has to be the worlds noisiest mixer, ring gear is less than perfect creating irregular noise. Probably one of my worst Amazon purchases.

Great results from this cement mixer. Good size for a diy project. Value for money.
