Small, efficient and heats up quickly
I've had this for over 2 years now.In the summer it sits tidily under my desk out the way. (I wrap the power lead around the radiator veins to keep it tidy!)In the winter it still sits under my desk but keeps me warm enough to work from home (with the additional support of my heated slipper boot). It heats up quickly and the built in thermostat means even into the late spring I can sneak it on with a low setting first thing in the morning when the wife isn’t looking, and when it gets really cold I just pull it out from under my desk and turn it right up to heat the whole room (3.5 x 5m 'ish) with the door closed.Even on the coldest days, I eventually have to give in and turn it down after a few hours (though to be clear my office is well insulated). All in all a good buy, one of the better things I have purchased online when driven by need, in this case mostly hypothermia while being frozen behind a PC for work.No photo – my office is definitely not Instagram worthy!

Really effective considering its small dimensions
Neat and attractive solution for warming my small porch - I’ve set it up with a Hive smart plug so it’s powered up on a schedule and the inbuilt thermostat has been easy to use to find the perfect ambient temperature.

Useful basic oil radiator
works well for frost protection in walk in cupboard to keep free of damp. Thermostat is trad bimetallic strip kind so not very accurate but does the job.

Continuous output is only 285watts
I thought this would be a nice little heater for my campervan. I was sceptical as to how such a small unit could transfer 800w of energy into the room as it has such a small surface area, the fins would have to be red hot, but I thought hey its quite cheap let's give it a try. Well it does have an 800w heating element but it also has an internal thermal cut out which shuts the element off when the surface temperature of the heater reaches 75C which happens after only about 10 minutes. This is not the user thermostat shutting off the heater this is an internal cutout. So the heater itself is very hot, the room is still very cold but the heater can't dissipate that heat quickly enough so it's element is actually shut off. I have timed the duty cycle with a room temperature of 16C and once at operating temperature after the first cycle it is on for 5m:45s and off for 9m:20s repeating so the average power consumption is only 285watts. I did complain to the seller and they sent me a second heater which does exactly the same thing. At least I have two of them now but still effectively only have an average of 570watts of heating power. On the plus side it seems quite well made so it would be fine perhaps as a frost heater in a small space but that's about it. Certainly no good for heating a room. You could I suppose place a fan so it blows across the fins which might work quite well but not practical in my campervan.

Small but effective
This is a great little heater that does exactly what it says on the tin. However, don’t buy it if you have a large room that’s poorly insulated. I use it in my office which is around 3.6 square meters and it just about provides enough heat output to warm up the room to a comfortable temperature. I also bought it second hand from the supplier, which offered excellent value for money.

Useful in small rooms
Don’t expect a lot of heat from this. We use it to keep the damp out of our motor home and it heats up the front area well if the door is closed. However I wish we had ordered a bigger one. Like the black colour and design and regulates to keep the temperature

Perfect for small caravans or smaller campervans
I have an older campervan that was converted some years back, and has an old fashioned gas heater , that works perfectly.Even with the installation of a CO monitor my better half is a little uneasy about using it, so I thought about one of these.I have a 1500/3000w peak pure sine wave inverter in the van and two leisure batteries. It will drive a microwave , so I suspected it could cope with this. The heater is tiny, heats up quickly and in the enclosed living space of my van after a short time was taking the chill of the morning air nicely. It is marked at 800 watt, but I suspect it uses about 1kw when running.Of course , use on the system above for a long time will drain my lesure batteries quickly, but , on a low heat setting (the thermostat is adjustable) it should be more than capable of taking the chill off the air.Connected to an external power source at a camp site of course, no issue at all, but my main use will be for off grid camping, so something that my inverter/battery set up could manage was what I wanted. It is also small enough to store easily away.As to durability, time will tell, but it looks nicely made and arrived very well packaged.

Should be listed 300 watt heater.
Although it uses 800 watts. The heater is small so it can't produce 800 watts all the time as it will get to hot. So the thermostat will turn it off for most of the time. Generally the heat output is just over 300 watts. Enough for a shed in winter to stop freezing and to take the chill out of the air inside but won't warm a average room.If you want 800 watts. Buy the 2000 watt. Radiators need physical size to produce and loose heat.2000 watt one will produce 800 watts continuously. Same issue.A 2000 watt continuous heat oil filled radiator is very big and pricey !
