I have not used the stickle glitter glue on plastic I have only ever used it with my card making

Would this work on salt dough if sealed after?

I’ve not tried it on salt dough but can’t see why not if you leave it to dry first. Try it on a small piece first as it might not even need to be sealed.

Does the glue show through or dry clear and does the glitter hold or fall off after a while if say artwork is framed on wall?

No the glue does not show through. The glitter is pretty god about holding on for a long time . It is excellent stuff.
