Well made, well designed, brilliant product.
I did a lot of research before buying this as I already have a few nightlights for my baby but they each have their issues, mainly battery life and mechanical noises. The Cloud B Turtle is perfection. The plastic shell and plush toy are high quality materials and are very well made. I was a bit worried at first when I saw the teeny tiny 3 individual colour LED's, but they really do kick out loads of light. The stars are actually star shape when they hit the walls and ceiling, not just fuzzy blobs. The way the lights transition from colour to colour is a really lovely effect. The constellations are a brilliant touch and looking forward to when baby is old enough to look at them and learn. There are no mechanical noises. It shuts itself off after 40 minutes which is more than ample time for baby to fall asleep, this also keeps the batteries going for a long time. It takes standard AA batteries, which I was pleasantly surprised about being included, and once they die I will use re-chargable ones that will last a lifetime in the turtle!I have nothing negative to say about this product, even the box it came in was well made and beautifully designed making it ideal to give as a gift. This is just one of the those products that works so well it makes you want to take the time to write an Amazon review.

Wonderful, wonderful night light with fringe benefits
I couldn't be happier with this. I bought it for a baby with some sight problems, because I was looking for something to stimulate his vision, with strong contrasting colours but without overstimulating sounds. This met that requirement perfectly, and had surprising multi-purpose uses for a household that also includes a toddler. At night it sheds a pleasing, not-too-harsh light around a room in its three set colour options of red and black (the strongest), or blue, or purple. The star-shaped holes in the ladybird's plastic back reflect entrancing stars onto any surface they can reach. The baby loves the red and black, and the toddler loves the purple, so it's been in demand as a nightlight at different times of the evening, from day one.During the day it's alternately a sight-stimulus for the baby, held right up close to touch and look at, reflecting the stars onto Mum's face and clothes. It's tactile, too: the back is hard plastic but the limbs and head are soft to touch. When not in use as a teaching tool, it's a toy for the toddler who loves pressing the buttons that change its colour; literally, everyone's happy. It is fair to agree with the reviewers who point out that the light isn't really strong enough to put stars clearly on very high ceilings. But still, I'm pretty confident that no one who's seen this lovely nightlight in action much cares. It isn't cheap but for me it was worth every penny to give such a useful and lovely gift.

So disappointed, I really expected a better product at this price point.
The media could not be loaded. I like the fact it came with factory fitted batteries, and I love the concept. Unfortunately I’m sad to say that this Cloud B Twilight Turtle is a total disappointment. As soon as you get it out of the packaging the whole thing feels cheap. The lower section is half plush turtle, and the upper section is a large hollow plastic shell, with a printed turtle shell pattern and some tiny holes in the shapes of stars and a moon. The battery cover is accessed from below, and is covered by a Velcro plush flap. If you look through one of the star holes you can see that the LED module is mounted against the inside of the battery holder area, with three coloured LED’s.It has a four buttons on the top, one to turn it on and one for each of the colours, it comes with a very basic couple of lines of instruction. My understanding is that the unit should turn on and cycle through the various colours smoothly and turn itself off after 45minutes, unless you manually select a specific colour with one of the three colour buttons. Unfortunately the unit I had only rarely scrolled smoothly – most of the time it jerked between darkness and a solid colour, with apparently random duration of darkness at various intervals – just see the video I’ve posted. My honest opinion is that from the moment you open the box nothing about this feels like it’s worth the £25+ being asked for. It feels like market stall junk and seems to perform accordingly. So disappointed, I really expected a better product at this price point.

Not just for little ones!
What a fab product. Very easy to use and does exactly what it says on the tin. I had bought my wife a star projector for Christmas which cost almost £100. We sent it back after the first very disappointing use because the image projected was fuzzy and not at all like being in a planetarium, total rip off.So we thought we'd try this one to give our bedroom a nice night-time glow and peaceful star shapes on the ceiling, and that's exactly what we got, it's brilliant. You are apparently able to spot real constellations in the projected stars, but I haven't worked them out yet.Only down side is that you need to put it pretty much in the middle of the room if you want to avoid a big bright blue patch of light shining off one wall if you put it on a table or drawer next to the wall, but that is obviously the same problem that you'd get with any other product. If you're considering this for a child, I recon it would make a great gift, its pretty robust and the soft ladybird underbelly is quite cute.Gentlemen - buy this as a gift for the lady in your life, she'll adore it!
