Q: Is there UV sun protection?

I’m assuming..not quite sure how I would know…but the sticker said they do.l

Q: Is there a trick to getting the tie shoestring back in the shorts? I have three pairs where when I washed them the it came out and I can't get it back

Yes but it's not easy. Feed the solid end in and keep pushing it thru below the upper stitch line and the stitch line above the pocket u til you get to the front again. Then you have to feed it thru the small area between those 2 lines to get it back out the front. Line it up with the front holes to fi d the channel it goes thru. Tie big k ots on the string so it doesn't do it again

Q: Do the lighter colors change color when wet?

I have not noticed them changing color, but will definitely become a little more see through. I have the light blue and coral color and both I have to wear the same color underwear otherwise you can see through.
