Been looking at these in stores, craft fairs, and finally made the leap and glad I did. It measures 10 inches tall, glows beautifully showing all the natural variations in the salt. It can shed wee bits of salt so they advise to put a plate/coaster of sorts underneath, which I did. Wonderful to have the dimmer switch and the UL-Approved electric cord is ample in length. As a few other reviewers said: they wished the packaging for the lamp was better, and I agree, as it was just in a very flimsy cardboard box that could barely hold the weight of the lamp - yet, it came through without damage. The light bulb is clear and is held in place by two springs pressing against the inside of the lamp - so you can just pull down and remove the fixture to replace the bulb if need be. I can find no fault with this lamp and the price is considerably less than others of the same size/weight, it has the dimmer and the UL-Approved cord... important features to look for in a salt lamp.

I've been dealing with a deep sinus infection since early December. A friend told me how one of these lamps helped her daughter with her allergies. So I decided to try one, thinking if it didn't work, at least I'd get a cool looking lamp out of it. I was very skeptical that it would actually work. I mean, its a ROCK! Within 2 hours of plugging it in, I was able to completely get rid of everything in my sinuses, and I slept better then I have in a long time. It's been on non-stop since and my sinuses are feeling amazing. No headaches or face pain from my sinuses since. I'm amazed at how well it works! And it looks terrific as well.

Edit: I just received the 4th lamp I purchased and very disappointed in the fact they sent me a returned lamp. When I received the lamp it wasn't packed as the others were. It was just placed in the box with no packing materials. The bulb was burned out and the screws attaching the base to the lamp were rusted. One side of the base the screw is screwed in at an angle and doesn't go all the way in. I can see why it had been returned. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else.Love these. I bought 3 and gave 1 to my son he loves his too. I sleep so much better at night.

I use to buy my salt lamps at Bed Bath and Beyond, but as they have all but stopped selling them in their stores I tried Amazon because i needed it in a matter of days. I ordered two of these.These salt lamps arrived on time and packaged well. They are both the same size and a great shape. The base is sturdy, the dimmer works well. I like my salt lamps darker rather than lighter so when I bought them in store I always checked them first. One of these was a great dark shade, the other was a tad lighter than I would have preferred but still beautiful and will work great as I am using it as a gift. I would buy this again and would recommend it to others as well.

I like this lamp, I bought it to put on my nightstand next to my bed. It's really cool looking and the dimmer switch is a nice addition too. I had heard that these salt lamps put out negative ions which is good for hair and hair growth, I'm hoping it will help with beard growth. I was also surprised at just how heavy it is, when it was delivered the shipping box it came in felt like it had a bowling ball inside of it! But being as pleased as I am with this Himalayan Salt Lamp I will definitely be buying a few more to put in other rooms.

I am enjoying the salt lamp immensely my daughter got me one for Mother's Day and so I purchased another one but there was a big Fiasco with all this big long story no need to get into it it's been rectified I hope but I am enjoying it and it also makes a great night light and a night when I get home from work at 10 at night it's also good light don't need to leave a big bright light on in the house I haven't seen any effects from the lamps yet but maybe it takes a week or two or month I don't know but I'm enjoying them immensely they have a calming effect thank you have a great day God bless

The shape is very natural and without rough edges. The size is 8 inches and it appears as the advertised photo does. Also, it has was received in excellent condition in cardboard packaging and has no signs of chips or powder off it after one months use. I use it and enjoy the pleasant glow daily, also it provides a fine calming nightlight. The UL-approved dimmer switch feels solid and is very adjustable. I use it at a moderate dim most of the time. Happily, it looks smart setting near a brass table lamp that I seldom use. Another thought, I have put a thin lamp cloth under it to protect the furniture, in case I eventually knock it over. Just for information; the bulb used in mine is the (E12) dimmable in the 15 watt size. I searched for the right lamp for some time and with so many options it was difficult to decide. This seller had great reviews and the price is right! I purchased this Himalayan salt lamp as a gift and I have found my go to person! The lamp is large and beautiful with light and warm amber hues. I love that it has a dimmer too. I’m impressed with the quality of the first lamp that I purchased a second lamp to gift. The recipients of the lamps loved them and commented that they’re so much better than what they’ve seen at the store! I will be purchasing a third soon.
