Best shaving soap I have ever used by far. Excellent creamy texture and thick lather.

Less than a year wet shaving I have tried all the Proraso soaps and they have been okay, Goodfellas Sea Citrus was my favorite up until now. The performance of this soap was my missing link!! Went through the learning curve from ditching cartridges all my life so I was getting good shaves on the other soaps but this soap, it is just excellent every time. It feels more slick. The scent is what I was hoping for too since I enjoy lime/lemon scents, it is very refreshing. I may try other scents from this brand but I love this one so much it could be all I ever use.The only con would be also a good thing. The size of the puck is nice and large making it easy to load my brush, the bad part is it is too large to fit in my medicine cabinet. The soap is great so it is by no means a deal breaker.

I am relatively new to shaving with a DE razor. I wanted a fresh-smelling yet classic barbershop scent, and I saw reviews of this soap. There are lots of layers with this soap: citrus, spices, and barbershop powdery notes. It keeps changing while you shave, and it lingers a little bit after you have shaven. I plan to add the aftershave and the balm since they would combine well with my other soaps without clashing. The texture of the lather is excellent, and it builds very quickly. It leaves a comfortable feel after shaving. It is a high-quality product, and it feels deliciously luxurious. I will try other scents by B&M in the future.

Great scent that lingers subtly for hours. The cream is smooth for shaving. It takes a lot more water to get the lather to thicken than other shaving soaps, so use more than you'd expect.

The Barrister's Spice, like other Barrister and Mann soaps, easily produces a great lather. I also have B&M Seville and the Reserve line is even better in performance. You do have to be careful when loading your brush so that you do not get too much soap; a little goes a long way. If you load too much soap, you will get a gooey mess. There is no need to bloom the puck before loading. This is a very thirsty soap that holds a lot of water, but add the water a little at a time until you get just the right combination of slickness and cushion. You will be rewarded well for your patience. Performance is definitely 5-star.The scent is supposed to be a clone of classic Old Spice by Shulton. I used the classic aftershave as a young man, but I cannot tell you whether the Spice soap is an exact match; but it is close. The scent is fairly strong and the aroma will linger on your face well after the shave is completed. Thus, you won't need a scented aftershave or cologne after using this one. I would have given this soap 5 stars, but the scent was just a little stronger than I would have preferred. If I were younger, I probably would have loved it.

I have used this before. The aroma is strong but fades quickly and is not offensive. Very masculine. Great lather. The more water you add and the more you brush it, the thicker and richer the foam becomes.

This lathers up nice, has good sickness and smells great! Would highly recommend 👌

This smells like old musty gym clothes that you left in a sealed container for 3 weeks. It's actually revolting. I tried using it for a week to see if maybe I just needed to get used to it but had to throw it out because I couldn't stand to smear this on my face.
