bad design - bad coffee - leaks steam
This machine has been a failure for me. I am very careful about the plastic hose which draws water into the machine from the well as I read that it was fragile, but it leaks - there is always water on my kitchen counter. It takes more than 3 minutes to heat 1 cup of milk but it will not foam the milk; it only heats it. Now after 3 months of struggling with it, the steam nozzle has started leaking and you cannot shut the valve off enough to stop it. It is dangerous as it spurts steam unexpectedly even after the valve has been turned off for several minutes. The materials in the machine look strong, I think the mechanics in it are terrible. I am struggling to get my money back from the company...they want me to mail it back in the ORIGINAL PACKAGING and they will send me a replacement. Who saves boxes for several months!?! Don't buy this.

For the price of 169$, it's ok
I read the reviews (including the obvious fake 5*) and decided to order the black as Amazon had it on sale for 169$. I think for the price it is a good machine. The black does NOT look cheap. It produces a decent Espresso (compared to the dopio at Starbucks) I'm not so sure about the 15bar pressure though (couldn't read it in the manuals). The handle is a little tough but works well. However this is my first machine so I can not compare to any prior experiences.

A number of faults, but useable - until the pump failed
I got this with a groupon deal just over a year ago. Never really loved it - it was finicky in many respects. And the steaming wand did not seem to work well for me. Not really sure why. Anyway, it made a decent shot of espresso, so... fast forward to now. I've owned the machine for about 18 months. Never used it very heavily. Make probably about 10-15 shots/month. And it will no longer produce espresso. Some internal mechanism seems to be broken - water is just not pushed through the coffee. I suspect it is the pump, but as I'm not an expert, and I am not taking the machine apart, I can't say for certain.
